Football Manager 2008
From the team that brought us the old school Championship manager games.

My god I love these games. I am getting ready to give up a considerable chunk of my life to it.

Anyone else as insanely obsessed with the Football Manager games as me?

I need someones help in this game. I have 2007 and there is a player co-owned by two teams and it said that I have to agree to terms with both teams before I can transfer him which I did, but then nothing ever happens. Both teams agree to the fee but I never hear anything afterwards. Am I missing something here?

Few stupid problems in the demo annoyed the tits out of me but it should be patched release day I'd have thought. Think I'll buy this one often don't bother and just download but have a few days off work coming up so it'll be nice to have around.

I'm quite happy to wait til Chrimbo and ask the rents for it, haven't played the demo, but by all accounts its a cracker.

I'm happy with FM2007 still anyway, into my 13th season with AFC Wimbledon looking to finally achieve the dream....Champions League glory.

I haven't actually played any of the Football manager titles yet. I kept getting given the Old Champ Manager ones (the franchise taken over by Eidos). But the last great Champ Manager game was made by the guys who make Football manager.

Looking over the screen shots i'm liking the way it looks. It appears to be quite tidy. White background is a winner.

Oh and McDoogle, that just sounds like an annoying glitch, these games do tend to have a few of them

Downloaded this last night when I got in drunk. 455 seeders, thought i was seeing things due to my state, i was not. It downloaded in super quick time

Work seems to have gotten in the way of my starting my career tough

Unpack everything that is in a .rar file @ the same time. You will get a FM2008.mdf & FM2008.mds.

You need to mount the .mds one using Daemon Tools (this essentially makes the computer think there is a disc in the comp)

Go to my computer and click on the 'disc' you mounted. Install.

Once installation is complete, paste the crack into your Sports Interactive/FM2008 folder in your program files.

Play.

A few national teams have been greyed out because of licences. Just delete a file called fake.inc and they return to normal

What do you mean greyed out? And is that all deleting that file does?

It's lame that no EPL players have their pictures and that......well kind of lame

Look at Germany, all their players are fake.

All that file does is have a list of teams they're not allowed to include and thats all the file does

SIgames.com forums, SortitoutSI, FMFormation etc have tons of facepacks, logos, kits etc. I only need a few La Liga clubs and SPL clubs to have all the players you could need.

So we need to get a TPWW league up and running....I've never played on line though, so not sure how it works. i will have a look tonight maybe. or if anyone else knows how to set it up get to it

On a related note they are actually developing an mmo football manager game for release early next year.

Despite losing all the time and my job almost gone with Villa I reckon I'm starting to get to grips with things preformances are improving ( I say as I trail 2-0 to Bolton )
