Just 15 ideas to make the WWE feel fresh
1. Get rid of the World Heavyweight Championship & ECW Championship belts because there are way too many fucking belts
2. End the brand split 3. WWE needs a fresh new babyface to lead the company 4. Must have a unique style that is different from what fans are used to seeing in the main events (ie: muslce-freaks with power moves or endless supply of rest holds) 5. Should have underdog qualities, yet still be someone the fans can buy as WWE CHampion 6. Needs to have great crowd reactions 7. This man should be Jeff Hardy, but you could insert someone else who you feel fits 8. Only have WWE Championship defenses on Pay Per Views 9. These matches all need to have clean finishes 10. Matches need to be one-on-one 11. First three challengers need to be the old mainstays (Undertaker, HHH, and HBK) 12. After Hardy (or Champion of your choice) beats them all clean in the middle of the ring in one-on-one title defenses he'll be F'N over as hell. 13. Then you could have your Champion face guys of lesser stardom in matches because the Champ should be over as fuck 14. Whoever defeats Hardy (or Champion of your choice) will be given a huge rub just based off the victories Hardy has gained while being champion. 15. Throw a dump truck of money at Chris Jericho and Rob Van Dam and get them to sign a contract. |

If you look at the amount of smackdown wrestlers appearing on raw over the last lot of months its like theyre teasing ending the split.

Most of those 15 should be added to that IWC list thread. END THE BRAND SPLIT: How would this help? There are guys not being used enough on the separate shows, if the entire roster is merged you can say goodbye to pretty much half of the talent getting anytime on TV Merge the titles: They tried it with one title and IMO it was rubbish, a champ had a feud on one show, then just had a regular match on the other, whichever show doesn’t have the feud then suffers, would only work if the brands are merged, but that shouldn’t happen IMO Points 4,5,6 are basically the same as 7. I agree that Jeff could flirt with the title, the reason he’s so over is because he’s different, it’s the same with Foley. He had that everyman quality, it’s why Dusty got so over back in the day, so I’ll give you that |

Yeah, ending the brand split might cause a lot of talent to not get TV time. But quite honestly, a lot of the matches that go on during Smackdown! on fridays, or sometimes even early night on Raw, seem like they were scraped together. Then you take a look at ECW and they've pretty much used that entire roster against eachother at this point, and every match you see is a rerun. Half of the people that get TV time, could use some polishing before they get TV time.
Remember before the brand split there was actually a reason to watch Smackdown? If you missed Smackdown, you potentially missed the next chapter in the big storylines because important things actually happened. All the biggest stars were present on both shows. Hell, from time to time, even Heat had big PPV announcements or Austin coming out and interrupting every match with a double stunner. The problem with today's shows is that Raw is the only one they pile the stars on. MVP/Hardy is about the only thing worth watching on Smackdown these days. I've been a huge Taker mark for the last 10 years but I'll be damned if they've had an opponent for him that's made his matches entertaining. As far as having to fire a whole bunch of talent, would they really? I think back to the Attitude era and I don't know that the roster back then was any smaller than it is right now between all the shows. If it was, it wasn't by much. The only ones that got TV time were the ones that were worth a damn watching. The rest of them, while ending the brand split would put them out of TV time, maybe it'd give them the time to hone their skills without embarrassing themselves on public television. That way, by the time they're worth a crap, maybe the fans wont all be tired of them and jaded by previous shitty performances. |

There is so many things that need to be done. Ending the brand split and getting rid of ECW is a no brainer. Once that happens a lot of big storylines would come into play (uniting all the titles, GM's head to head...).
I think they need to go back and watch some old RAW/Nitro tapes. Those shows had meaning, everything was great. The tag team division today is horrible, they need to bring that back in full force. Just simple things like bringing back managers and cliffhanger endings to shows. The commentating is terrible, they talk about nothing instead of building the storylines. Also there is entirely too many people on the roster, they need to almost cut it in half. I don't know I am rambling but everything is just so terrible. Once you do the little things right then everything will fall into place. They keep concentrating on the next big storyline, it's not about that. |

So what if you have to fire wrestlers? Vince has never had a problem with that before, and it worked before so why can't it work again? I've said it before but there's so much crap on that roster that wouldn't be missed. Ending the brand split is a good idea but it wont happen cause Vince quite obviously wants to kill WWE.

1) End The Roster Split
2) Make the matches shorter on TV....keep longer matches for PPV's (a la Attitude Era). 3) Consolidate the tag titles, US/IC titles, and some other titles. 4) Get rid of Women's Division. Have women wrestle, but only 1'nce or 2twice a month (a la Attitude era). 5) Far more focus on character development. Giving a character a "one-trick pony" schtick (i.e. Kennedy just saying "Kennnedaaaay!") is not character development. An example of character development, is when Val Venis (porn star) used to do "videos" with random chicks...humiliating wrestlers in the process. Character development was when HBK used to hump the Canadian flag....or when Undertaker used to sacrifice people. 6) Don't be afraid to release certain wrestlers and let them go to TNA. Competition benefits the industry. 7) Bring back KOTR on a permanent basis. 8) Bring back the Hardcore Title 24/7. This allows for creative skits, a side story from more important storylines, and more wrestlers to get TV time. 9) More triple threat matches 10) More fatal four-ways. 11) More gimmick matches in general (i.e. Lumberjack matches). 12) A DOMINANT heel stable running the WWE....with a handful of top faces opposing it. History has PROVEN that top heel stables draw. The Corporation, 4 Horsemen, DX, McMahon-Helmsley faction, nWo, and some other stables are examples. Even in 2004 when Evolution came into full force, ratings started to go back up. 13) Let Jim Ross and JBL commentate on BOTH shows. Both men have a true passion for the business....passion of which can't be duplicated. Let JR and JBL be the announcers for both shows if possible. 14) Cancel Cruiserweight Division. I know many will disagree with this, but CW matches almost NEVER draw. Yes - it did well in WCW but aside from that, it almost NEVER draws big. Having said that, the CW style of wrestling DEFINITELY has a place in wrestling. Diversify the Cruiserweights into the tag team division, hardcore division, and IC division. That way - the CW style of wrestling can still exist, but they won't be looked "down upon." (i.e. Rey Mysterio vs. Jeff Hardy for the IC title). 15) Hindu stable. Hindu World Order. ![]() ![]() |

![]() I've always said they should have the heavyweight tag teams on RAW, and the SD tag division as a sort of unofficial CW tag team division if you will. I like your idea more though actually. Quote:

Don't diss idea 15.
I don't get why merging the rosters is a bad idea, so you have to fire one of the rosters worth of talent basically, so what? There's only about one rosters worth of talent worth keeping anyway, so that works out. One roster, one weekly live TV show, that was how I liked it best. |

Well 9/10 should be at least 10. 100% agree 11. It could work if they all went down clean 12. Can't see 11 working with Jeff Hardy though. 13. Nope. 14. Maybe but he'd get more heat if he robbed Jeff's boyhood dream from under him 15. No point in RVD if they won't let him be himself. |
