When I upgrade to Win 7
What happens to my full Vista key? Do they both become in use, or can I use the Vista one on another computer.
I know I would have to call to get the Vista key switched to another computer, but when they pull my info up, I guess they'd see that it's being used as the base for the Win 7 upgrade. Last edited by G; 08-10-2009 at 08:54 PM. |

You should be able to use that on another PC.

Depends what version of Windows 7 you're buying. At work, the Microsoft guy told us that an update version for Vista user would be less expensive than a new installation license.
In clear, you can update your computer for less than it would cost to buy a Windows 7 DVD and install it on a new computer, but at the cost of losing your Vista license or something like that. |
