I know this is stupid and a cheap finish, but I would mark out if...

Say a champion (preferably face, even though this is a total heel move) has his championship on the line against a red hot heel. In this match he is totally in over his head, he's not necesarilly getting destroyed, but he's getting beaten to the punch, the guy is stronger, faster and just "has it" that night. It's a competitive match, but one man clearly has the advantage. This is on a RAW or Smackdown not a ppv.

Then finally they're about to have that final showdown spot leading into the finish, like they even pause, for a staredown, build it for the fans, and then in front of the ref, the champ feigning like he's going to engage in a grapple, just kicks the challenger right in the balls, in plain site.

Not like one of those cheap chicken shit heel finishes where the monster face is beating his ass and he does a weak little upper cut lowblow... but just like "Fuck this!" and jjust a massive, stiff kick to the balls. And the ref would have no choice but to ring that bell, and I would probably laugh my ass off. Have the challenger sell it huge, like he got shot. I think that'd be the best shit ever. lol.

It's a great idea. I would also find this hilarious.

The WWE used a similar strategy with Eddie Guerrero back in 2003 (although he didn't kick anyone in the balls), and I'm disappointed that the WWE didn't go this route with Santino Marella when he turned face (although in the WWE defense, they truly are fucking idiots).

As far as Guerrero goes, the WWE completely pissed him away after he won the title in 04'. They changed his personna, tried to showcase his 'sensitive' side etc., and he ended up being poorly booked and marketed.

It does sound good and original but if they hype the match or feud up too much, it is possible you could get something similar to what the Finger Poke of Doom was to WCW in terms of how it killed off the Hogan v Nash feud with no real climax.

Since this would be on a RAW/Smackdown and not a ppv, it wouldn't as much of a potential letdown in terms of crowd enjoyment.

Yeah you couldn't do that as a ppv finish, that is cheap. It would just build the feud. Obviously leading to a no dq match. Even as a serious angle it could work. A top face doing that to a heel could suggest he is in big time trouble and could ignite a feud. People could start questioning his faith in his abilities etc.

I dunno I just think it'd be good tv

I wouldn't mind something like this being used for the Sheamus/John Cena feud. At TLC, I've been thinking it would actually be pretty cool if they run with this "conspiracy" thing, and Sheamus puts Cena through a table outside the ring, but the referee doesn't call it because it isn't "falls count anywhere" or some ridiculous shit. Sheamus is pissed off, and eventually Cena gets Sheamus through a table inside the ring, and he retains the WWE Title.

Sheamus is pissed, and he calls out Vince McMahon on RAW. Sheamus says he is not going to the RAW Guest Host, or any sort of General Manager; he is taking this straight to the boss. Sheamus can bring up how Stone Cold Steve Austin could do whatever he wanted to Vince back in the day, because Stone Cold was worth too much money to fire. Sheamus says that he knows he is the same thing, so if Vince doesn't give him another match against Cena, then he will make Vince regret it.

Vince gives Sheamus his rematch, but in regular rules on RAW either that week or the next. They then run this kick to the balls scenario, where Cena is just so pissed off at Sheamus that he screws him over like that. Cena then puts Sheamus through another table for good measure. This can be used to build to a Last Man Standing Match, or something, between the two at the Royal Rumble. It could also be used to give Cena some more heelish edges. Not a flat-out turn; but to test the waters and see how people respond.

The closest we got to a finish like that was at Wrestlemania 19 when Jericho hugged HBK and then Jericho just kicked the living shit out of him in the nuts right after the match was over. It was so funny becuase Jericho was "crying" like he was amazed at their match and just wanted to show respect by hugging him and then BOOM!!!!! all of the sudden Jericho kicks him and has this pissed look on his face. One of the best moments of that show.
