I can say without hesitation, that I would rather watch/listen to the Pussycat Dolls over Kid Rock any day
They cut the tag title match for this bullshit? I'm glad I decided to watch this MTV concert series on PPV
Stealth-Icon 11:47 PM 04-05-2009
Gail Kim f*cked up.. I don't think that she was supposed to go out thatway
RGWhat316 11:48 PM 04-05-2009
The tag title match should have definitely been on the card. You could even tell that the crowd didnt seem to give a damn that Kid Rock was there.
Chavo Classic 11:52 PM 04-05-2009
What a poor main event. Just awful.
Supreme Olajuwon 11:55 PM 04-05-2009
lol Santino is so great
Supreme Olajuwon 11:57 PM 04-05-2009
Also pretty sure Michael Cole called the Divas Champion "Maurice"
Supreme Olajuwon 11:58 PM 04-05-2009
wow Steamboat looks GREAT holy shit
RGWhat316 11:59 PM 04-05-2009
Yeah I was pretty disappointed in the divas match as well. They had no real introductions, so the ones who did return got no recognition.

Steamboat still had it in him. Makes you wonder what a Jericho Steamboat match could've been like if both in prime.
Damian Rey 12:02 AM 04-06-2009
I don't post a whole lot. But after watching the main event, I feel compelled.
Why in the hell would you devote the heart of your flagship program building up arguably the company's biggest heel over the last 3 to 4 months, creating the kind of heat that's been garnered, and elevating him to a level he's never reached before, only to job him out, on the biggest stage of the year, to a guy who has headlined more WrestleManias this decade than anyone, and who really didn't need the win? I just don't understand. I know WWE isn't known for their keen logic. But for Christ's sake, it was BLATANTLY obvious that Orton HAD to go over there. They have completely wasted everything Orton has built up.
Thank God for Steamboat making me mark and the UT/HBK match...
loopydate 12:05 AM 04-06-2009

51-2 poll so far.
I just got back from my friend's place, and I'm extremely torn on this card. Michaels/UT was fantastic. The greatest match Undertaker's ever been a part of, and it's way up there in the HBM pantheon. At least in my top three WM matches ever, and possibly #1. We'll see with time. Just an absolutely fantastic story.
I was with a bunch of my friends who were fans way back when, and we all marked out when Steamboat hit the ring. He looked like a million bucks. And, yeah, his conditioning wasn't what it was 22 years ago, but he still nearly stole the show. That was an amazing nostalgia moment for me. Goosebumps.
Money In The Bank wasn't as good as it has been in previous years, because a lot of the spots were really predictable. I mean, I know they always are, but it didn't seem like this year's match had
the moment like past years. Last year, we had Morrison doing the moonsault with the ladder, this year the best we've got is Shelton's nearly-botched somersault onto the floor or possibly Kofi scrambling up the folded ladder and falling into the World's Strongest Slam.
I had low expectations for Matt versus Jeff because I remember how bad the match was the last time they tangled, but they've both come a long way since then. And Matt going over (relatively) clean is hopefully the next step toward making him into something other than the other Hardy Boy.
The Divas battle royal was abhorrent. They hyped this up as a homecoming for all these classic divas, and where the hell were they? I mean, yeah, they were in the ring, but there were so many of them, I couldn't make them out. The eliminations were coming too fast, and the cameras couldn't keep up, and the announcers weren't keeping up. I didn't even know who was
in the match until the final five. Absolutely a waste of space on the card.
Speaking of wastes of space - Kid Rock. If I wanted to see a Kid Rock concert, I'd go to a Kid Rock concert. And I don't want to see a Kid Rock concert.
Not that I'm a huge John Layfield fan, but that's a shitty way to lose a title.7
Both title matches were all right, but anti-climactic. The triple threat had a better finish (the main event had all of us going "What the fuck? That's it?!?"), but the main event told a better story overall.
They didn't just drop the ball on Orton tonight, they climbed up to the top of the world's tallest building and threw it down as hard as they could. Onto a bed of nails. Wrapped in barbed-wire. That was on fire. Any semblance of a ball is absolutely gone.
Decidedly average pay-per-view, but that's awful for a WrestleMania.

OH MY GOD STEAMBOAT
Supreme Olajuwon 12:11 AM 04-06-2009
Steamboat is the fucking man. Glad Jericho won but god damn what a performance.

Mickey Rourke needs to teach Shane O'Mac how to throw punches
Supreme Olajuwon 12:32 AM 04-06-2009
lol Cole again
none of the other brother vs brother matches at WM were ever this personal
The Undertaker killed his parents and disfigured his brother, so Kane locked his brother in a casket and set it on fire. But this is more personal.

Come on now, who voted for the Diva's match? I love looking at them as much as the next guy, but you couldn't make out who half were and the match was pretty lame.
Supreme Olajuwon 12:38 AM 04-06-2009
I thought Santino was Molly Holly until they announced that Molly was eliminated lol
Stealth-Icon 12:39 AM 04-06-2009

screech 12:45 AM 04-06-2009
Not a bad WrestleMania, but I feel like that shouldn't be an acceptable reaction to the biggest show of the year. Main event was highly disappointing.

--Mark Henry to do some sort of move off a ladder like a Powerslam for example.
--Ricky Steamboat to do a series of armdrags on Jericho culmanating with a well placed drop kick to send Jericho out of the ring.
--A Steve Austin post match stunner to Jericho
--Jeff Hardy to do a Swanton off a big ladder.
--Old school being reversed into Sweet Chin music.
--The Undertaker to do an old school sit up after getting hit with Sweet Chin Music.
--Undertakers obligatory suicide dive and Michaels obligatory moonsault to the outside.
--Anyone but John Cena walking out champion or failing that John Cena making out with Vicke Gurrero after winning the title.
--HHH/Orton to be given at least 25 minutes to work.
...if I get like 9 of those I'll be very happy.
I got none of those... but I'm still pretty happy.

It shouldn't be acceptable, but thanks to shows like Wretlemania IX, Wrestlemania XI and Wrestlemania 2000, it's hardly anything new.

Undertaker and Shawn Micheals was GODDAMN splendidly AWESOME. I have nothing else to really say......OH YEAH KANE GOT FUCKED!!!!!!!:foc:

Steamboat had me marking with those gorgeous arm drags. He made that match, and I'm glad he got the most time to work with Jericho.
Supreme Olajuwon 12:52 AM 04-06-2009
can't believe they cut away from Steamboat skinning the cat. Fucking amateur production right there
Kane86 12:55 AM 04-06-2009
Jimmy SNuka look rather drunk tonight and couldn't seem to get his spot rights. i was so glad when he tapped.
Supreme Olajuwon 01:02 AM 04-06-2009
Taker ripped off Mysterio's entrance
Damian Rey 01:03 AM 04-06-2009
I wasn't expecting anything out of neither Snuka nor Piper. Snuka went quick, and minus Piper's one-legged dropkick, he wasn't bad at all.
Steamboat is the fucking shit. I demand we get a Steamboat anthology DVD by end year.
Supreme Olajuwon 01:05 AM 04-06-2009
I can't believe people in this thread badmouthed Finlay's jacket. IT WAS HIS ENTRANCE ATTIRE FROM WCW YOU IGNORANT FUCKS
