Speaking of sentry, WHEN THE FUCK DOES SEIGE #4 COME OUT?

Feels like it's been forever since 3 came out.

Is Batgirl on that team or no?
Reply
Fignuts 01:31 AM 05-15-2010
Huntress, Black Canary, Oracle, and Lady Blackhawk are the only confirmed members, but there is a sillouette of another member in a picture and it is definitely batgirl.

Lock Jaw 02:12 AM 05-15-2010
The Sillouettes have already been revealed as Hawk and Dove.

Really hope they explain the whole issue with Hawk being an insane cosmic-powered villain at the time of his death. Everyone else who came back from the dead in Blackest Night seems to remember everything up until they died, except for seemingly Hawk.

Rather have Batgirl.

Damn. I missed 4. Probably because I'm not a Marvel guy.

All the pics are down though.

I dunno, batgirl will have plenty of oppurtunity to shine in all the other bat titles.

She should be a Titan as well.

I'm pretty surprised that Stephanie Brown hasn't already been on some sort of teen team.

She made like one or two appearances in Young Justice, and that's it.

Arkham Asylum 2 should have everyone in that pic available.

If there is on DC vs Marvel crossover I'd like to see, it's deadpool and batman.

There was a Superman/Batman annual awhile ago where they were fighting Deathstroke, and some "Deathstroke from an alternate universe" who was running around doing shenanigans.

And by "awhile ago" I mean back in the days of 2006.

As much as Batman and Deadpool would interest me..Iron Man vs Batman would interest me even more.

EMP grenade with anti-EMP shield piercing radial output. Left third pouch utility belt. Batman wins.

i don't buy Batman wins so easily. I think Stark's intellect is often not represented well.

Kalyx triaD 10:33 PM 05-15-2010
Oh I know Stark's a smart dude. He had a handmade nuclear reactor for a heart. I'm just saying Bruce is scary smart.

Nobody wins. They have an interesting fight and then become friends, and it's crossed of the list of cash cow crossovers

One of them regularly owns a Kryptonian demi-god and the other is a man in a metal suit.

The reason why I would love to see them go at it is because of how close the fight would be. I am leaning towards Batman usually, but then ill read or look up something about Iron Man and completely change my mind. Hand to hand combat Batman would win hands down for sure tho.

I had a concept story for a Batman/Crow crossover with some cool themes that aren't the typical 'fan service crossover' tropes. Don't think I'll ever write it out but someone should.

I don't know, Batman beat a lot of guys he couldn't have if it was a physical contest. A lot of his own rogues are stronger than him.

Iron Man was snubbed in the Marvel vs DC run

Yes but what he's saying is, Tony is not superpowered either. He is a product of intelligence, will power and a great suit as well. In Stark's world, he is as strong as Bruce Wayne.
In reality, Batman is the more popular and iconic character, so he has the edge. On the grounds of their characters though, they're "booked" similarly. I think if you approach it with that fairness, it's pretty evenly matched. Same with Spiderman.

Everyone always says, Batman will always win because he's the smartest and most determined. Well, yea, he's fucking Batman. That's why.
For all intents and purposes, other characters can have those qualities too once preference, popularity and legacy are checked.

I am not saying that is why he wins, just that if the fight came down to that..I can see Batman winning.

I don't consider 'pro-wrestling' style booking, and Batman isn't anywhere near my favorite comic book character. I find Bruce and Tony equally compelling for different reasons, though I understand that they are their respective universe's top 'reactive inventors'. You might beat Bruce or Tony once, but it will never happen again. Many villains and even heroes learned this the hard way.

Why I give this bout to the Bat is that between the two, Bruce is the one impaired by his duty. Bruce plays the playboy, Tony actually enjoys his riches. I say Batman will win not to solidify his badassery or popularity, but because he's insanely dedicated to beating you. Every opponent becomes the face of his parent's killers for that battle. You can't beat that craziness with Thor's hammer.

That's a great issue. I ordered it from ebay last year.

While I greatly agree with Batman's obsessive behavior, I do not agree with Iron Man's will to fight. When Iron Man started out, Iron Man seemed to be greatly obsessed with stopping communism from spreading. Thus, all the famous clashes with all the Soviet influenced heroes. Originally, Stark followed the playboy persona as a way to cover his identity.
Iron Man seems pretty dedicated about what he does. I really can't think of the last time in years that he was shown just hanging out. He showed some real commitment during the last couple of years. I think the character also has the disadvantage that it has faced terrible writing at times. I mean, Whiplash has defeated Iron Man. I think Hawkeye has as well.
At the same time tho..I have seen Iron Man go toe to toe with some heavyweights like Thanos...then there is the fact that Tony has even changed his biological code over the years to make himself more "meta-human."

I was just using the term "booked". Would "written" be more comfortable, since it serves to make the exact same point without implying that I view this as 'pro wrestling'

I think Tony Stark and Batman should develop a tech exchange in any potential crossover. I think a Stark Tech Batsuit, if only for just one night of use, would kick all kinds of ass.

I agree with Jeritron's idea.
I remember a few years back there was a Spawn/Batman crossover. At the end Spawn asked if they can work together and Batman pretty much told him to fuck off haha

Similar deal with Spidey. That's just a convenient way of moving on from a crossover that has no future anyways. If Batman can work with Robin, and in JLA, he can be buddies with Marvel characters. It just doesn't have any longterm endgame, so it's avoided.

It would be great if Stark and Wayne built eachother special suits that they DIDN'T use in the crossover. This way, both companies could use them once down the road, and it would be a nice suprise.
