This was not amazing at all, your thread title is a lie.

His logo looks like a copy of NIN's. Did Trent work on this album with him or something?
drave 03:30 PM 10-27-2014
Reznor and Manson have been "buddies" for quite some time. Not sure about this direct logo or album, but he has heavily influenced and (I may be mistaken) helped produce some early work of Manson.
Definitely a solid track from Manson, didn't even know there was New Shit (ARE YOU MOTHERFUCKER's READY?!) on the horizon.
dronepool 06:41 PM 10-27-2014
The logo does resemble the Sin logo, but it's basically a stylized \m/ just made to look like M's. It looks alien or witch glyth writing. Which would go with the current era of swampy blues/" Armageddon blues" being that they recorded a song that was used for the Salem intro.
I really really miss MM's albums having clear themes and visuals (Band photo shoots and the like)
Themes do still exist in the music but its become alot more vague.
dronepool 08:36 PM 10-27-2014
Yeah, but the clips we heard+this make them sound more like a band. I hope we get a good booklet this era. While a good album, Born Villain had boring packaging.
Thats true like I said the visuals lately seem by the numbers(or rather by the numbers for Manson considering his fondness for visuals)
whiteyford 03:51 PM 10-28-2014
I'll get the album since I have the rest and I want to believe it'll be Antichrist Superstar all over again.

Preview for another track
Yeah I'm gonna like this album.

I think it's awesome, it creates a cooler vibe than the BV cover
Feels like David Bowie/Nick Cave or something

Cannot wait to get this album
this song feels a lot more like a Manson song where 7 day binge was kinda bluesy
Rammsteinmad 06:56 PM 12-17-2014
Didn't realize anyone cared about Marilyn Manson any more.

He may not be America's boogeyman anymore but he's far from forgotten.
Rammsteinmad 04:04 AM 12-18-2014
Actually, that reminds me, I was watching Bowling for Colombine the other day. Never seen it before and was looking for something to have on in the background. In all fairness, never really cared for Marilyn Manson, but he probably came across as the smartest, most classiest person in the film.
dronepool 05:56 PM 12-18-2014
Interesting fact about that film: He actually spoke for about an hour or two but they only left that part .
Another fun fact: If you like Rammstein, I think the guitarist has the side project and its called Emigrate, they came out with an album earlier this month and Marilyn Manson has vocals on the track "Hypothetical" - pretty cool album with a couple of other singers like Jonathan Davis and Lemmy from Motorhead.

Another really good German Metal band I discovered when I lived there. Eisbrecher

I've not really listened to Rammstein in about ten years.

I heard some newer stuff but yeah, I have not loved anything by them since 2003/2004, Emigrate is different from Rammstein though, just the guitarist and some other musicians.
I'm just feeling cocky cause I beat Dronepool to it.
Heard the ALBUM ITS..pretty fucking sweet
I'd describe the whole thing as mid-tempo blues oriented Deep Six is the only real exception it's the hardest song on the album and it kinda feels outta place here.
If you're any thing like me after you hear it you will be singing Mephistopheles of Los Angles FOR DAYS its catchy as hell (wait till you hear the acoustic version)
Picking this up on official release overall 7/10
dronepool 04:12 PM 12-24-2014
Yeah, its been getting good reviews. This should be my 4th favorite going by the hype.
I can also tell it's probably not gonna be a lot of peoples cup of tea cause its not hard enough and quite different from his other work lyrics are sparse (on purpose) and its made more for listening and maybe toe-tapping than headbanging.
Bobholly138 11:37 AM 01-12-2015
I gave the album a try and it isn't for me. I enjoyed Manson's early stuff. Up until Smells like Children. But in my eyes all he has ever been is a mixture of Alice Cooper,Kiss,Dead Kennedys with a dash of some of the early goth rock bands. I can totally see where if he was hitting it big when I was say 14 or 15 I would think he was this amazing musician. But by the time he was putting out albums I had already heard similar stuff that was better.
dronepool 08:57 PM 01-12-2015
After a few listens The Pale Emperor could just be the Mechanical Animals of this decade. This is the bravest *musical* adventure the band went on since... dare I say 1998. This cares less for the awesome but familiar soft, heavy, soft layout and focuses on the music other than the distorted guitar. This takes some elements from Holy Wood and The Resident Evil Score with the best ideas from Eat Me, Drink Me, High End of Low and Born Villain and mutates them into the beast known as the Pale Emperor.
9.6 / 10

My god, just loving this track. It's totally my type of Manson song.

Wow, that is awful. You all should be ashamed.
