The glass ceiling is a term used to refer to how certain cerebral assassins, heart break kids and other such main eventers have gone out of their way to keep younger talent from reaching the top. That is, you can see the goal in front of you, but it's being blocked, thus glass ceiling.

Originally, the term was coined in the 80s to refer to how women were unable to advance further than a certain point in the corporate enviroment.
