How has wrestling influenced your life?

Wrestling has influenced my life in more ways that I have though possible.

I use wrestling moves on the dance floor at clubs if I am drunk enough and one of my friendships with one of my best mates is largely based on wrestling.

Hell I even want to call my son Christian not just because he is the man but when my son comes out of my wife�s womb I wanna yell out �Christian Christian at last your on your own�

So in what ways my fellow tpww posters has wrestling influenced your life.

I'll skip out on doing cool things because Raw is on.

I've turned down jobs because I'd have to work monday nights.

I come to this website multiple times a day.

Basically when it comes down to it, I have no life and I'd say wrestling pays a factor in that.

a big yes, especially right now. When I give presentations or go for interviews I pretend I'm like getting ready to cut a promo for a big match and just go. I get all hyped up and shit and announciate words, use hand gestures just like my fav promo guys do. Yea, it's sick, I know. But that shit helps a lot.

I especially had to use those kind of skills over the summer in a personal selling position.

Whenever my boss tells me he has a project for me, I do the Ric Flair stumble and fall flat like he does. Also when someone pisses me off, I throw my jacket on the floor and start giving it elbowdrops and kneedrops.

I spent three years working for a wrestling promotion my friends and I started in high school. I still watch it every week, wrote for a year and a half, got me the chance to talk to a lot of great people, made friends through it, my courses even helped me in fights.

Wrestling had a positive influence on my life, as far as I'm concerned.

Well, wrestling has influenced my life a lot more back in the late 90's, when I was a massive mark and it was in it's prime.

I'd cancel all plans I had (like hanging out with people) to stay home and watch RAW.

I've scheduled my classes now so I have no night classes Monday nights.

Pro Wrestling has given me some of my best lines in political humour. I have literally hundreds of jokes about how we need more pro wrestlers in politics.

Also, I have modelled my life after Mick Foley. You should see me in tights waving my sock around.

Also, sometimes if I see an accident on the side of the road, i'll say something to myself like "BAH GAWD THE CARNAGE!" In fact, I think JR's announcing has had more of an impact on my life than wrestling has.

I use wrestling music as work out music.

When I can't talk about who is fired from the store I work at I say they've been "Hassan'd"

When I get into a serious argument with someone I can cut a promo on them and sell it instead of getting wrapped up around it.

When I settle down and start a family I want to name my first born son "Owen Kennedy" (no, NOT Mr. Kennedy, Vince's middle name)

No matter how hellish my week is I always have Mondays to look forward to.

LOL yea, LC, I'm the same thing. For my last interview, I was all ready for a promo. All that was missing was "You know something, Mean Gene!" and some flexes.

I think it's been positive in my life, giving me more confidence in situations like that. This site is one I usually visit on a daily basis and most of my talk with the guys is about wrestling, including when is Rumble tickets going on sale and whether to party for Taboo. And it keeps me inspired, thinking about what I can do with stories and make them better.

Wrestling has had a huge influence on my life, alot of my goals in life have had something to do with wrestling. 5 years ago I never would of thought I could be a professional wrestler, not a chance in hell, but with the proper training and effort, i've surprised myself with how i've turned out, i'm getting more and more work as time goes on and i'm living a dream I never thought possible.

Also the wrestlemania thing, that is in my Top 3 lifetime acheivements, i've been watching mania's like since mania 9, never in my wildest dreams did I think i'd get to go to one, and at mania 18 I did, then I topped it with 19 with those seats, doubt i'm ever going to be able to repeat that day, it was almost like a religious experience for me.

I've always treated wrestling as an escape from the real world, no matter what shit is going on in my life I know I can forget about it all and watch a few hours of wrestling to chill out, nothing else can really do what wrestling does for me

Mania 19 was surreal. I went to a RAW before but I was so stoned that it was a huge blur

3 years later, going to Mania 19 was the shit. If I ever feel down or not motivated or just caught up with the everyday chaos in life, I can always pause and look back and remember Mania and say to myself "ok time to get back to the basics"

I find myself referring to everyone/thing that I don't like as a 'jobber'.

as i've logged off of accounts most of the time its 3:16and i listen to my iPod (entrance music) when i enter anyplace. also wrestling with my friends in my backyard has given me some experience and i've also become a very good storyline writer. also JR's catchphrases seem to just come out at the right time (Work in raido at my school) and people say i have a natural charisma on T.V, plus when doing presentations for class. also thanks to the Hardyz i Exist 2 Inspire everyday.
