Chyna/RTC/2001
When the RTC broke Chyna's neck with a spike piledriver in late 2000-early 2001, and then Chyna returned to the Royal Rumble to challenge Ivory for the Women's Title, was Chyna's neck really broken or was it a storyline?

I can remember watching the match where she re-injured herself at Royal Rumble 2001 and thinking 'if this is a work, then Chyna's a better actress than I thought'. Then Chyna came back at WrestleMania XVII and won the title with the same backflip thing that re-injured her at the Rumble.

What's the story here? Was she really injured?

The stupid thing about that storyline that I remember was that, at the time wasn't there a few serious injuries going around? As soon as it was known that it was fake nobody really cared.
