Makes for an interesting read:


1. Rey Mysterio will become the second man to be in the opening match of one WrestleMania and main event the next.

The other was Chris Jericho.

2. It's not just Undertaker who is undefeated at WrestleMania.

Edge also holds a 100 per cent win record.

3. Big Show also has a 100 per cent record at WrestleMania. All losses.

4. Howard Finkel has been the ring announcer at every WrestleMania.

5. The Fink is also credited with coming up with the name WrestleMania.

6. Steve Austin inducts Bret Hart into The Hall Of Fame the night before WrestleMania 22 in Chicago - the same city where they staged their epic Submission Match at WM13.

7. Austin is also the only man to have won the WWF/E championship at three separate WrestleManias.

8. The only WrestleMania to be held outdoors is WrestleMania IX.

9. There hasn't been an intercontinental title match at WrestleMania since 2002.

10. Kurt Angle has never won a championship match of any description at WrestleMania.

11. WrestleMania 22 will mark 10 years since Shawn Michaels won his first WWF/E championship.

12. WrestleMania 22 will be 20 years to the day since Bret Hart made his WrestleMania debut.

13. WrestleMania III still holds the record attendance for any WM. However, numbers vary - WWE says it was 93,173, though other sources claim it was closer to 78,000.

15. Contrary to popular belief, WrestleMania I was not a pay-per-view.

16. WrestleMania 2000 did not feature a regular singles match.

17. In the last 21 years, close to 600,000 fans have witnessed WrestleMania live.

18. WrestleMania VII was meant to be at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, which would have held 100,000 fans.

Due to poor ticket sales and "security issues", it was moved to the Los Angeles Sports Arena.

19. The Rock holds the worst record in WrestleMania main events. He lost at WrestleManias XV, 2000, and X-Seven.

20. Hulk Hogan has never won at WrestleMania when it has been held outside the United States.

21. Former AWA promoter Verne Gagne is being inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.

It is rumoured that he offered another wrestler a large sum of money to injure Hulk Hogan just before the WrestleMania I main event so the show would be a failure.

22. WrestleMania 21 was the first WM to have no tag team match on the card

What about John Cena? WM20 he opened and won the US title, WM21 he was in the main event with JBL and won the WWE title. I guess it could be argued that it wasn't the main event because it wasn't on last, but I see both title matches as main events.

The one I really found interesting was Kurt Angle never winning a Championship match at WrestleMania. Some of these facts should be used by people in their WrestleMania feuds.

Carlito & Chris Masters could cause tension between Kane & Big Show by pointing out that Big Show has never won at WrestleMania. Randy Orton can mention that Angle has never won a Championship match at WrestleMania, etc.

Hogan won the WWF/E title at WrestleMania 5, 7, and (although in a bullshit way) 9.
