Reviews for Black
Yeah, I just bought it. Lovin every minute of it.
Egm trashed the game for having no multiplayer, and poor AI. Gamepro gave it a higher review, but said the same things. The only real problem they stated with the AI is that they are always running toward and around explosive objects. Now, thats what I find a silly thing to gripe about. What's the point of a game with assloads of shit to blow up, if there's never anyone around to blow up with it. The game still isn't a breeze or anything. If I want to blow up uninhabited structures and enviornments, I'll dig up my N64 and play Blast Corps. And a giant robot that demolishes buildings by hopping on them? Well thats just too ridiculous for me. |

I've only played the first two levels so far. I enjoyed it.

There's a difference between nobody being around to blow up and the AI intentionally running toward the explosive materials, trying to hide behind them. Takes away from the realism.
But you've got a good point. The point of the game is to blow shit up, and it's more satisfying to blow something up and watch somebody's charred corpse being flung from the wreckage. |

If you want intelligent enemies, I would recommend F.E.A.R.
They worry me more than the scares do. |

It is definitely fun to blow shit up, but I rented it for a week and was done with it in like 4 days. Not much replay value there.
