Everybody please get off of UFC's dick for just a minute.

I am tired of coming into the wrestling forum and having to read a bunch of shit about UFC. If UFC is so much fucking better than WWE, then post that shit in the sports forum where it belongs.

WWE makes comparisons to the MMA? Besides Angle's character (arguably) I haven't noticed any.

Then again, I haven't really been paying attention lately, so I could have missed something.

UFC doesn't consider WWE competition. WWE considers UFC direct competition.

In short, WWE fears UFC.

Challenges to anyone in 4, 6, or 8 sided rings? JR's references to UFC rules? Hell, TPWW's news section has an article on UFC planning to no longer ignore WWE's challenges.

There were 3-4 this week on Raw, and I missed them until I played a couple of segments for my ex. There could have even been more, because I skipped most of the show (From your mention of attention, I doubt you'll blame me there. )

And they have every reason to. People who want to see actual combat instead of campy wrestlers who have moves like the "Five Knuckle Shuffle" have a viable alternative. Granted, people who want to see pro wrestling still have no real choice, but Vince doesn't care about them. He wants the pop culture crowd, and right now UFC/MMA is quickly becoming exactly what Vince covets.

Don't forget that the Taker steals all his shit from UFC.

Angle and Taker copying the Hughes vs. Newton I fight finish?

I'd bet $100 right now that WWE has mentioned UFC more times on it's TV in the past 4 years than UFC has mentioned WWE.

Yup. Chokeslams, Tombstone Piledrivers, Flying Clotheslines, and walking the top rope are all very commonplace in the UFC, and I'm sure they were telling their opponents that they'd rest in peace YEARS before Undertaker debuted in the WWF.

lol ahahaha, fuckin wrestling fans.

Seriously there are so many parallels between the 2, it's just that right now, the UFC knows how to market their shit, and men 18-35 wanna see some real fuckin fighting, and as KK said, not the five knuckle shuffle. Hell I'll take the Randleplex Kev Randleman did to Emelianenko over a Benoit German any day of the week.

I mean look at how the ufc promotes fights, I mean we have Tito Ortiz and Ken Shamrock fighting again, after Ortiz fuckin destroyed the old piece of shit, and by all means they shouldn't be in the same ring together. But they used the reality show to really get people to want to see them go at it again. They used promos, as well as well timed and well edited confrontations between the 2, and enough people really want to see Tito Ortiz womp Ken Shamrock, or they wanna see Shamrock score the surprise upset just to shake things up.

That's good marketing, that's what the wwe is missing. UFC doesn't have people pissing on other people, or necrophillia.

Hell you can go as far as to say they even have "stables" cuz there are tons of fighting teams, and they all have each other's backs.

So UFC is extremely similar to pro wrestling, quit fuckin whining, and don't read it if you don't want to.

You wanna know what a mark really is, look in this thread. Ton of people conned by the wrestling world.

You know what the funniest thing is? UFC books basic wrestling feuds (good guy vs. bad guy and #1 ranked fighter vs. #2 ranked fighter) better than WWE does right now. And they do it in a shoot.

WWE fixes it own shit. They should fucking rule right now.

Oh and for all you fuckers moaning about "wrestling". That word isn't even allowed on the biggest "sports entertainment" TV shows in the world. Argue that!

Wow, talking about marks being in this thread, then using part of the Joey Styles promo on Raw a couple of months back, when I hear "wrestling" on WWE programming all the time.

Take out that promo, when else have you heard it?

Lance Storm said on Bryan Alvarez's show last week that he was specificly told by Vince McMahon he couldn't mention the word "wrestling" on TV. Now this is an admission from a man who worked for the company and probably one of the only honest man in the business.

Howabout his basic "Deadman" stance, which looks like an MMA/Shot fighter? Or many of the submission moves he's adopted? His entire brawling shtick looks a lot like an MMA fighter, too.

Really, is you glossing over the blatant elements just the inconvenience to your stance, or what?

Lance Storm the only honest man in the business. I hear it ever week, in "World Wrestling Entertainment", if nothing else.

I'm sorry, but that's not "all his shit". He's taken from it, no doubt, but it's hardly accurate to say that he has nothing without MMA stuff.

Taker's in-ring work IS basically an MMA style with a few Sports Entertainment spots thrown in. He really didn't adapt to this style until about half way through his Biker Taker run.

Take away the MMA brawling, and all you have are his five moves.

And you are full of shit. You fucking NEVER hear the words "World Wrestling Entertainment" together on their TV. Or maybe my TV is broke along with about 5 million others.

I called him "one of the most honest men".

Not "the most honest man"

Acknowledge that.

I'd love to see where they said "World Wrestling Entertainment" on the last few WWE shows too.

Your full sentence.

"Now this is an admission from a man who worked for the company and probably one of the only honest man in the business."

So while you used "one of the", you also used "man". Are you saying Lance Storm is only a part of a man?

Basically, yeah. There's almost nothing to his moveset without his MMA stylings, except his finishers and a couple spots.

The point is that this is the "wrestling forum" not the "mma forum" or "UFC Forum" or whatever. It has no place in this forum. I don't care if y'all fucking jackoff to UFC, but its hard to not read it when every other fucking thread has 20 posts about how "this doesn't happen in UFC" or "you should watch UFC over this shit". We get the fucking point already.

WWE's seen fit to compare the two, it's natural the fans will. It's too bad them that it didn't work out, but seriously, they've adopted the style, they've referenced it, and dumb fucks keep whining about how bad the programming is. You expect a viable alternative not to spring up in these numerous conversations?

God, I don't even watch MMA that much, but I'm thankful to see people do things other than whine about how much WWE sucks right now, TNA sucks, etc.

Then why do you even bother coming to a wrestling forum.

Seriously though, I see your point as well as Rob's, but I don't think its that hard to comprehend that myself and others don't care about UFC. I actually enjoy RAW and "the new" ECW. UFC isn't "pro wrestling" or "sports entertainment" or whatever you guys wanna call it.

Rob, if you are telling me to not read the shit about UFC. Then, I suggest you take your own advice and quit watching and/or reading about WWE if you hate it so much.

I am trying to keep my opinions on UFC out of this other than the "annoying as fuck to read about UFC every time I exhale while browsing in the wrestling forum" opinion that way I am not hypocritical by starting a debate on UFC fighters and the dickwad owner.

Get the point? I've been reading about WWE sucking ass for the last 3 years here. How can I put it? "We get the fucking point already".

You wanna talk wrestling? Cool. WWE stinks. Cena sucks. RVD does drugs. Angle is gonna die soon. TNA is WWE minor league. ROH is overrated. Zombie is awesome. New ECW is shit. Paul Heyman is a God. HHH is awesome/sucks. Which t-shirt should I vote for? I think that covers everything.

MMA is here to stay. I told Triple A (more like pleaded) to start covering it years ago because it was gonna explode and he chose to keep his wrestling site hanging on life support. And it's still on life support.

I don't care about Baseball. I don't whine in new threads when the Raw discussion week after week seems to turn into one of scores. Baseball, if I remember correctly, is less like wrestling than MMA.

This forum doesn't follow as strict a set of lines as you seem to believe. TPWW's headlines, though it's theoretically a WRESTLING news site, has multiple MMA headlines. And a lot of this might be better suited for the sports forum, but when there are direct comparisons being made, there is a place for it here.
