News on the wrestlers with elevated liver enzyme levels

Super Crazy has been added to the list of wrestlers with elevated liver enzyme levels, which is why his scheduled match on the Bash was changed and Matt Hardy replaced him.

The main concern right now is that the wrestlers testing with high levels (Great Khali, Bobby Lashley) may have Hepatitis C, an incurable condition that is easily spread, which is why contact between anyone testing positive with high liver enzymes and other wrestlers is not allowed.

Great Khali's test level was very minimal over the normal level, and he was re-tested earlier today, so if that test comes back normal, he could be back in the ring as soon as this week as long as everything else checks out.

The others who have tested with high levels have been "off the charts high," according to once source, and further tests are being done on them.

Hmm did a little research on Hepatitis C, here's what I found. Its from wikipedia.

Well, let's not get the cart before the horse now. It should be made clear that this is still a rumor that has not been confirmed by the WWE itself, or a reputable source(ie Dave Meltzer).

This is just the first hypothesis I've heard about the enzyme level incidents. I'm not a doctor or medical student so I have no idea what else could cause a raise in liver enzymes. Hopefully, this is not a true newsbit and these men do not have Hepatitis C.

I don't think it's Hepatitis C at this point, I think they just took the people off the card to be on the safe side.

Well no matter if you want to believe it or not right now, this might be a very logical reason as to why all of these wrestlers have been having liver problems.

I just hope no one's career will be jeopardized because of this.

Actually, if you've looked around the threads, several comments have been made about how Steroids and other drugs can raise your liver count. Maybe you haven't seen them, it just seems unlikely.

Hep C doesn't seem like the most likely culprit here, is all. Especially with the prevalence of drugs within the WWE.

Although anabolic steroids could be an explanation for the string of high liver enzyme tests coming in for the WWE SmackDown! lockerroom, there is reportedly a greater fear that the wrestlers' tests results are due to Hepatitis C.

There is absolutely nothing to confirm that's the case right now, but due to the highly contagious nature of the diseases, it's certainly a concern for the lockerroom.

As of this writing, Super Crazy, Bobby Lashley and The Great Khali had all been pulled from the road due to high liver enzyme counts. Khali was only a hair above the "normal" range, so he could be on his way back soon.

Lashley and Crazy, however, were said to be "off the charts" with their test results, and will undergo further evaluations to diagnose the problem.

Why does it have to be Khali who has the least to worry about? That's what annoys me most, that the least entertaining/talented 'wrestler' has hardly anything wrong with him.

That's tru. But, to be fair, the company has a policy on how to deal with a drug problem. Hep C -- or diabetes, or any other organ-damaging disease -- would be a 'greater fear' since you can't really send a guy to rehab for it.

It'd suck if it happened to any wrestler, but let's face it. Khali's potential loss won't have the same impact as Lashley, Super Crazy or Matt Hardy.
It'd be like if Paris Hilton, Orlando Bloom and Kevin Smith got into a car wreck and died. Sucks for Paris, but not a huge loss. Bloom and Smith on the other hand, that'd suck for the world.
So yea, sucks for Khali, but I'm not going to miss him if he has to stay out. Crazy, Hardy, Lashley, that just breaks my heart.

That's callous. You know that if ANY of those people died, there'd be at least ONE person somewhere who would be absolutely devastated, and I don't wish that upon anybody.

Maybe it'd be better if I said they all moved to cuba to smoke out and retire, but what I'm getting at is people aren't going to miss Khali as much as they'll miss the others. Super Crazy isn't headed to the main event but he has a lot of good matches left in him, there's still hope for Hardy to make it big, and Lashley has a world of potential ahead of him. Khali is a one trick pony with a one track mind. He's the least talented hoss that I can recall since Giant Gonzales.
Khali only got signed because Vince has a hard on for big guys. Did the guy have any prior experince in wrestling before he got signed into DSW? No. He was an overgrown actor that needed subtitles since you couldn't understand him.
It sucks for Khali. He might have held a title for a little longer than Bob Backlund's last WWF title run. I'm not stoked that there's a small chance that we won't see him any time soon, but it's not a huge loss to me.
Super Crazy, Matt Hardy, Bobby Lashley, that's a big blow.
Khali, not so big of a blow.

What he meant was pretty obvious though. Hilton might be missed, but her impact is about as noticable on the world as the Geiko Gecko. The only difference is one is a ficticious character, and the other's a talking lizard on TV.

I hate that it happened badly, for all of them.


Still though, (and maybe I'm wrong) I like Khali, damn it. So out of all of those, I want to see him back soon. Hell, I'd like to see ALL of them back and healthy, no doubts. As for entertainment value, give me Hardy and Khali, followed by Lashley and Crazy in last.
