1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK. 3. Locate and then click the following registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/System/CurrentControlSet/Control/Class/{4d36e965-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318} 4. On the File menu, click Export. 5. In the File name box, type savedkey, and then click Save. 6. On the right side should be a data type named UpperFilters. Delete it by clicking Delete on the Edit menu. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes. 7. There will also be a data type named LowerFilters. Again, Delete on the Edit menu. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes. 8. Quit Registry Editor, and then restart the computer. If that doesn't fix it try going to your desktop, right click My Computer, go to properties. Click the "Hardware" tab and go to device manager. Under the DVD/CD-ROM Drives, right click the ones that aren't showing and click uninstall. If it gives you any pop ups, just say you want to uninstall it. After that, at the top, there is a little computer with a magnifying glass in front of it. Click that and let Windows find your drives and install them. |
