What will they do with Benoit?
Benoit is set to make his return how do you think they will use him? I see one of three things happening.

I pick option 1 or 2. No point in jobbing Benoit to Terkay straight away on his return.

I know, thing is I can't see past those 3 options either.
Edit: Actually, there are two more things that could happen. 1) They send Benoit to ECW(but i'm slightly against this cause SD! needs Benoit) 2) Edge gets sent to SD! and Benoit/Edge feud. If they do the first 1 i would love to see a CM PUnk V Benoit feud with Benoit as heel. It would also still be keeping the 'new breed vs the originals' theme going. Chris Benoit should feud with John Cena on SmackDown!, in my opinion. They can wrestle at No Mercy, Benoit goes over when Ken Kennedy costs Cena the match, this leads to Chris Benoit, Bobby Lashley, Batista and Vito vs. King Booker, William Regal, Finlay and Chavo Guerrero at Survivor Series, whilst Cena faces Ken Kennedy for the United States Championship in the under card.
At Armageddon, Benoit challenges King Booker for the World Heavyweight Championship. Depending on how ratings are going for SmackDown!, they could put the title on Benoit if they wanted to, but I doubt they'll go that route. Maybe they'll just do something completely out of the blue, and have Chris Benoit challenge King Booker for the World Heavyweight Championship next week. Give SmackDown! a new look, as it is a new era, have Benoit challenge King Booker. Benoit forces King Booker to submit, we get Chris Benoit vs. Bobby Lashley at No Mercy for the World Heavyweight Championship. King Booker can face Cena. This will probably work better for the WWE in the long run. |

Well there is no way he's going to ECW due to the fact Smackdown1 is hurting so bad. So I can rule that out.
Finley is starting a program with Batista. So there goes that. Booker is starting a program with Lashley, but that will end quickly, so that leaves the both of them open really. Terkay is a good candidate, especially with the absence of Kurt, who I suspect was in line to feud with him ion the near future. But the ME scene is so lacking that I can't see them wasting a former Heavyweight champ on this at this time. After all of this I think Booker T is the only logical choice here. Which translates to: they are going to have him feud with Gregory Helms for the Cruiserweight title. |

Why do you all think they are going to bury one of the only 5 people they have with credibility? I understand you don't have any faith in the company but you're just being idiots.

I'm not makign an argument, I'm pointing out that Beniot will probably be buried on Smackdown somewhere. Just because he's a former world champ doesn't mean he wont' be buried. Chris Jericho was the first Undisputed champ so what's you're point about Beniot? Face it, he's not great. Great wrestler, nothing more.

Booby Lashley, he's no where near ready to handle the center stage. He would fail miserably. A short feud is almost too big of a gamble. They've lost Henry, and Kahlie. Though they were trash, the average fan looked at them as credible challengers. Rey Mysterio? I don't think so, not until the monkey gets off his back. They tried that, didn't work. Plus he's going out soon. Loosing a lot of ME power SD! is. So what? Matt Hardy? Uh no way in hell would that happen. So someone needs to emerge. Wait. Who coming back? Hard worker? Dependable? Credible? Former World Champ? Sounds pretty good huh? On SD! you have Kennedy, Booker, Batista, Mysterio, Finley, Regal, and Lashley as your major players. Benoit is more over than all of them save Batista, and a little bit time and good booking that could change. With Benoit returning they have A) Injury return hype which is a time tested draw B) Past History with the Champion, and C) A former world champ. How could they not do SOMETHING with him considering who their top stars are. Anywhere on the card he fits in. As far as Benoit not having "it," Do you remember Wrestle Mania XX? That reaction he got, that WAS "it." How about the Rumble victory? That too was "it." The man can get a strong reaction as heel or face, always has. And he can get as over as he was in 2004 again with a little bit of good booking. Bury Benoit at this point in SD! history? Thats just blind skepticism. I can actually see Benoit going to RAW. This is only if John Cena loses the TLC Match at Unforgiven (which is apparently not likely at this stage).
How awesome would it be if Benoit ran out as Edge was climbing the ladder, and wrapped a steel chair around his arm, like Edge did at WrestleMania 21? Benoit throws the steel chair, then just stares at Edge as Cena begins to climb. The crowd would be split with Benoit smarks cheering him on, and anti-Cena smarks booing him for his treachery. Benoit then turns and watches, Cena climbing. Benoit then shoves the ladder, and Cena falls onto the top rope, bounces back into a German suplex and the fans are going crazy. Benoit then climbs the ladder himself, and grabs the WWE Championship. The match would officially be declared a No Contest, but Cena would be sent to SmackDown! (whilst not actually losing the match), and Benoit would be set up to feud with Edge. They can milk it for ratings, as some people might tune in to see where Benoit and Cena are going to be exactly, and they can use it as a way of getting rid of the spinner belt. Benoit can bring back a traditional belt (maybe a new one, maybe the old eagle Championship, or even the Undisputed era belt), and Edge can claim he wants it because he is still technically WWE World Champion. At Cyber Sunday, Chris Benoit goes onto the list of potential challengers to the WWE Championship. The other candidates are Carlito and Ric Flair. The one with the most votes challenges for the WWE Championship, the other two for the World Tag Team Championship. Chris Benoit gets the most votes (presumingly), so we get Edge vs. Chris Benoit, with Benoit winning via Crippler Crossface. Carlito and Ric Flair defeat The Spirit Squad for the World Tag Team Championship, and this is where their break-up becomes apparent. |

I pontiferate this question with much noble horse thought. But I have struck the conclusion with a mighty ax soaked in the blood of the gobbldy gooker.
Benoits technicalism is just one part of the massive vagina which consumes warriors of his limited speakishness. But this star-crossed warrior see's great detructionism on the horizon of Bet Midlers breasts for the white chocolate dwarf. The U-Warrior |

Alienoid, no offense or anything because you're one of the better posters here and all but do you have to book a scenario out of every single topic no matter how simple the question? It's not what YOU would do with Benoit. Not an attack or flame or anything. Just an observation.

The Coach gets a fax from the George Bush. Apparently the one show on television the President watches is RAW! His favourite Superstar back in the day was Henry Godwinn, so if Jonathan Coachman wants the approval of the White House, he needs to re-hire Godwinn. Coachman decides it would be for the best, and Godwinn faces Randy Orton in the semi-main event. Orton manages to get Godwinn down, which Jim Ross attributes to ring-rust, but Godwinn battles back, and eventually counters an RKO into an elevated version of the Slop Drop. 1-2-3! Godwinn wants a match for the Intercontinental Championship the following week. Coachman obliges. Godwinn wins the title with the Slop Drop on Johnny Nitro. JR screams that this may be the most unexpected comeback ever. The following week, Henry Godwinn is challenging for the WWE Championship. He wants to win the Triple Crown, and he uses his connections with the President to get a title shot against Edge from Jonathan Coachman. Henry Godwinn is making his comeback when Vince McMahon storms to the ring, distracting the referee in the process, which allows Edge to hit Godwinn with the title belt, and then follow up with a Spear. Edge retains his WWE Championship against the Intercontinental Champion. Vince says that Godwinn may be George Bush's hero, but that will have no bearings on the WWE, where Vince McMahon is God! He beats down Henry Godwinn with a steel chair, then gets Edge to give him a con-chair-to. Vince says that next week, Godwinn will join a very special club. The next week, Godwinn makes his way to the ring, and Vince drops his pants. A pig emerges from under the ring, and begins to try and eat from Vince's ass! Godwinn then hits McMahon with the Slop Drop! This, of course, pisses off Vince, who demands he challenge for the Intercontinental Championship the following week. He will not have a Republican hold his Championship! It will be a Hog Pen Match! The following week, Henry Godwinn kicks Vince's ass around, but Shane McMahon runs in and hits Godwinn with a flying chair shot. The McMahons then beat-down Godwinn. "Are you ready?" blares over the PA system, as Triple H and Shawn Michaels run down to the ring in "Vince Loves..." shirts, now featuring a rooster and a pig. Shawn Michaels battles with Shane into the crowd. Triple H looks at Henry Godwinn...then nails him with a sledgehammer! He dumps Godwinn into the hog pen! Vince McMahon is the new WWE Intercontinental Champion! The next week, Shawn Michaels asks what the Hell is going on: Triple H helped Vince win a Championship. Triple H says that he has never forgotten what it is like to be embarassed by Godwinn's antics. Shawn Michaels reminds Triple H that they are in the middle of a war, and that Shawn will never forgive Vince for what he has put him through. Triple H then tells Shawn to "lose his smile" if he doesn't like it. Shawn slaps Triple H, then rolls out of the ring. Triple H is the new IC Champion for having helped Vince McMahon defeat Godwinn the previous week. McMahon says that he hopes all this DX crap is behind them. Triple H then tells Vince that he is still a part of DX, and that he will still kick Vince's ass if he gives Shawn a hard time. The main event is signed as Triple H vs. Henry Godwinn for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, as to appease the Board of Directors, who don't want George Bush's favourite Superstar to be discriminated against. Godwinn wins the match via disqualification, when Triple H cracks a sledgehammer over his head. Shawn Michaels runs out to stop Triple H, and he checks on Godwinn. Hunter nails Shawn from behind with the sledgehammer! Vince McMahon comes out with Shane and Jonathan Coachman, and they stand over the men they have destroyed, as Triple H holds up the Intercontinental Championship and his sledgehammer. This brings back Marty Jannetty and Phineas Godwinn, who have had enough of seeing their former partners getting their asses kicked week-in and week-out by The McMahons, and now Triple H. The Rockers and The Godwinns form an alliance against the new Corporation, and the Intercontinental Title is handed down by Triple H to a younger member of Vince's forces. |

That wasn't a serious suggestion by the way.
![]() I think the best thing they can do with Godwinn, is have a young heel try and prove that he's not a pig farmer, but really a highly intelligent and gifted wrestler, who uses the whole gimmick as a guise to force his opponents into underestimating him. |
