If you could clean up the WWE Roster...
... and release 5-10 current/active WRESTLERS from wrestling duty.
1. Viscera, he's really only good for putting minor characters over, and even then there's better. He's had his time. 2. Hacksaw, I understand the appeal of legends, but Hacksaw is way past his prime and could probably be used better backstage (make every janitor joke you want.) 3. Mark Henry, no matter what you say, this guy isn't a draw. He's "unintentionally" injuried and buried way too many top guys. Honestly he was beginning to become more entertaining, but his in-ring work is still Lugar quality. 4. Snitsky, the guy could look like a monster, but the current roster has enough monsters. He's not a quality big guy and he's sloppy in the ring. Even with proper repackaging, I still don't see enough reason to keep him around. 5. Psicosis, as far as wrestling goes he can deliver occasionally when he tries, but even then it's not enough to be compelling without being teamed with someone. Honestly with Super Crazy on Raw down he's pretty useless. ![]() #bestintheworld #allhailtheking MY WORKRATE > YOUR WORKRATE ![]() SIX STARS | STRONG STYLE | SIX STARS Quote:

1. Torrie Wilson - Waste of space, hasn't even really tried to improve her in-ring skills the last 5 years. At least Candice Michelle is trying.
2. The Miz - Seriously, he has no appeal. 3. Tatanka - He has no reason to have a roster spot. 4. Sylvan - He's had like 80 failed gimmicks since his La Resistance days. He's never going to get over as a singles wrestler. 5. Mark Henry - Walking injury machine. 6. The Great Khali - KHALI SMAAASSSH. KHALI BOOOORRRINNGG. 7. Jim Duggan - HOOOOOOOOOO! NOOOOO! |

I pretty much agree with KingofOldSchool though I don't think Duggan is really under contract, probably a legends contract. I like Sylvan but if they can't find anything to do with him then they should let him go and has Mark Henry's contract expired yet? I thought it was supposed to expire this month as was Benoit's who the WWE better re-sign.

I would also release Snitsky as well because he is no longer useful and is not really a good wrestler at all.

Snitsky has grown on me.
I hated him at first when he got that big push when he first debuted ( when he was in the main event for ss 04 and had that long feud with Kane that got a lot of tv time ) |

Pete, you really need to stop being so biased and judging wrestlers just because they're on ECW which I happen to like and think is the best show right now but even if you don't like it, it has nothing to do with how the wrestler performs.

There is no way I can support that basterdasation of the greatest company of the 90's. They have ruined its lagacy with this garbage they have but its name on.
It's crap, the wrestlers on it are crap. The writers behind it are crap. Everything that touches it is crap. It's been a jinx for everyone so far. Look at Kurts career, coincidence? Probably. But maybe not. Sabu? Terribale since touching this PCW. Punk? Bleh. C.W. who? Just-a-jobber? This PCW has really helped Van Damn though right? Or did it Jinx him? Coincidence? Probably. But maybe not. |

1. ECW CAN'T BE THE SAME AS THE OLD ECW. Paul Heyman himself said it and do you think he would support this if it ruined the legacy of the original ECW.
2. Kurt has been working with internal injuries for 3 years so you can't blame ECW entirely for that, the guy needs a break. 3. Sabu hasn't been great for a while before ECW. 4. So far, they're doing a great job in pushing Punk, IMO. The only one I slightly agree with you on is the ECW originals like C.W. who hasn't been used much but they probably should of held out on his debut longer so he wouldn't have to job with all the other wrestlers being pushed. I think ECW will get better as it progresses as well. |

More about the "jinx" of ECW, namely RVD. When he made his return the future couldn't look brighter. Then he joined the ECW television program. Look at how his luck has gone. Jinx? Maybe. |

I don't believe in a jinx. RVD fucked up by driving when he was smoking pot and you blame that on a jinx by ECW?

Y'know... I've been meaning to say this on here for ages, but one thing that I can't stand about Viscera (besides everything) is how everytime he does that lame spinning kick thing, the announcers are always like "Oh my god! Look at the agility!" I mean, it's bad enough they act like they've never seen it before, but to be honest it's not that impressive either. It's way sloppy, and you've got more chance of seeing a decent Dropkick from Mark Henry.

Viscera's spinning kick is shit and sloppy.
But I gotta admit, now that I think about it... a dropkick from Mark Henry? |

* Viscera - For being 290823902 lbs he's not terrible in the ring. Overall he's boring to watch in the ring. The only match of his I've ever enjoyed was against benoit... and that was because he was facing benoit.
* Torri Wilson - She has nothing to offer except fake tits. * Rob Conway - He's not bad in the ring, I just find he has no charisma. * Hacksaw Jim Duggan - He should have only come back for maybe a month. I'm actually somewhat not hating him right now, but his time should be used for someone like Shelton Benjamin who is currently not getting any time on Raw. * Chloe - She's a self absorbed bitch. * The Great Khali - Boring as hell. * Scotty Too Hotty - It's not 6 years ago. Has he done anything since Rikishi did it for the Rock? * Michelle McCool - Seriously. * Mark Henry - I can't understand how he still has a job. He's injured so many guys in his career in the WWE. He even injures himself while injuring someone else. He's gone for a year, comes back for 3 months, then is gone for another 8 months. He sucks in the ring too. * Kristal - Another case of a female getting a job for having big titties. * Shannon Moore - Poser. Fag. * Tatanka - I never even enjoyed him as a kid. He's mad boring now. |

Chloe - She'll never be Women's Champion. Useless Diva.
Snitsky - He's not too bad, and he works well as a face, but they rosters are stacked. Maybe give him a trial run in ECW before releasing him, and see if Heyman can save him. Hacksaw Jim Duggan - GOOOOOOOOO! Away. Ric Flair - Bump him down to manager status. Torrie Wilson - She's not even attractive. Viscera - He's not terrible, and he's got the whole 1995 King of the Ring thing going for him, so if they ever decide to use him, they can use that as an excuse. The thing is though, there are better people, so Vis is bottom priority. Henry Godwinn - Fuck you, Triple H. The Boogeyman - I appreciate Marty Wright's dedication to the business, but he's just not good. Sorry. The Gymini - They aren't bad, per se, but they are still very green. The only time they even seem decent is when they have talented cruiserweights bumping their asses off for them. Have them work in OVW and DSW for a few more months, and then give them another go. Mark Henry - The guy was never horrible, and he's a believeable guy (in the same sense Viscera is), but he's just got nothing going for him. His heat will all be gone when he returns, and it's not worth re-building him when there are more talented performers on your roster. Tatanka - This guy is pretty good in the ring. But this guy suffers from the same circumstances as Marty Jannetty: There are better, younger people on your roster. Tatanka is expendible. The Great Khali - I know, let's bring in that guy from the Adam Sandler movie! We won't call him by his real name, as that will connect him with popular culture. Idiots. The Undertaker - I'm serious. He can still go, but that's just because the lazy fuck only shows up once a month. Release him, and watch him go to TNA as Mark Callaway. Or he could get killed in UFC. I'm impartial. The guy probably has enough money to retire for a millenium, anyway. Either get him to job like a bitch (which I am pretty sure he'd refuse to do), or fire his ass. Marty Jannetty - See Tatanka. This guy isn't bad, it's just he's not good enough to justify being brought in over younger guys. Only WWE loyalists have a clue who he is, so bringing him in isn't going to make any new viewers out of anyone. Balls Mahoney - And this hurts me to say, as he has looked really good recently. The guy violated the drug policy, and it's not like he's ever going to be ECW World Champion. Justin Credible - The guy has been an ass and not showed up to work. He really adds nothing to current product, and you own his ring name. Fire him and watch "PJ" give "BJs" for a chance to work in WSX. Sandman - Seriously, without "Enter Sandman" I don't think he's nearly epic enough to keep around. Release him and make room for younger guys to get a push. Terry Funk - He's not technically under contract, but his face is listed on the Extremists website. This is an easy one. |

I'm going to take this in another direction I'm going to pretend as if I were reuniting all the rosters and making one big WWE wrestler for all three shows. So instead of elimanating 5 or 10 wrestlers from the roster I'm going to mention the 40 wrestlers that I'd keep in the WWE. I would have started my own thread about this but this is close enough, so here we go. Mind you I may eliminate some top talent, just so the company isn't too top heavy.
Wrestlers Carlito Charlie Haas Edge John Cena (not holding the world title for a few years) Johnny Nitro Kane Kenny Lita Melina Mickie James Randy Orton Shawn Michaels Shelton Benjamin Triple H Val Venis Victoria Brian Kendrick Chavo Guerrero Chris Benoit Elijah Burke Finlay Gregory Helms Ken Kennedy King Booker Lashley Matt Hardy Paul London Rey Mysterio Sir William Regal Sylvester Terkay The Undertaker Al Snow CM Punk Rob Van Dam Sabu Stevie Richards Announcers Michael Cole JBL Joey Styles Tazz |

If we're going to play the brand unification game (which I like), here would be my combined roster:
1. Big Show 2. CM Punk 3. Little Guido 4. Matt Striker 5. Mike Knox 6. Rene Dupree 7. Rob Van Dam 8. Shannon Moore 9. Test 10. Trinity 11. Brian Kendrick 12. Chavo Guerrero 13. Chris Benoit 14. Elijah Burke 15. Gregory Helms 16. Idol Stevens 17. Jamie Noble 18. Jillian Hall 19. Joey Mercury 20. Ken Kennedy 21. King Booker 22. Bobby Lashley 23. Matt Hardy 24. Mike Mizanin 25. Paul London 26. Rey Mysterio 27. William Regal 28. Sylvan 29. Sylvester Terkay 30. The Undertaker 31. Vito 32. Beth Phoenix 33. Carlito 34. Charlie Haas 35. Edge 36. Nick Dinsmore 37. John Cena 38. Johnny Jeter 39. Johnny Nitro 40. Kane 41. Ken Doane 42. Lance Cade 43. Rob Conway 44. Shawn Michaels 45. Shelton Benjamin 46. Super Crazy 47. Trevor Murdoch 48. Triple H 49. Val Venis 50. Victoria 51. Melina 52. Mickie James The non-wrestlers would be: 1. Armando Alejandro Estrada (Manager/Heat Presenter) 2. Candice Michelle (Valet/Developmental Wrestler) 3. Jonathan Coachman (Manager) 4. Lilian Garcia (Singer for Special Events) 5. Maria Kanellis (Interviewer/Heat Presenter) 6. Vince McMahon (Chairman) 7. Ric Flair (Manager) 8. Shane McMahon (Future Chairman) 9. Todd Grisham (Interviewer/WWE.com Featurist) 10. Daivari (Manager) 11. JBL (RAW/Heat Colour Commentator) 12. Josh Mathews (Heat/Velocity Play-by-Play Commentator/Interviewer) 13. Michelle McCool (Manager/Developmental Wrestler) 14. Queen Sharmell (Manager) 15. Theodore Long (Manager) 16. Francine (Manager) 17. Joey Styles (RAW/Tuesday Show/SmackDown! Play-by-Play Commentator) 18. Kelly Kelly (Valet/Developmental Wrestler) 19. Paul Heyman (Tuesday Show/Velocity Colour Commentator) A lot of guys I wouldn't release. I'd just stick them in the developmental system to perfect their skills. Guys like Chris Masters, Nick Nemeth, Mike Mondo, Nick Mitchell, etc. A lot of guys like Scotty 2 Hotty and Finlay would become trainers/road agents. |

I'd basically release anyone who has been around for too long, and can no longer be of interest to the fans...even with a completely new gimmick.
That's not the biggest problem however. The biggest problem in the WWE, is they don't have that one guy who is quickly moving up the ranks..and captivating the interest of the fans. In 2002,there was Lesnar. In 2004, there was Orton and Cena. Late 2004 and early 2005 saw the rise of Batista. What the WWE needs right now, is a rising superstar...that has the potential to draw as a face one day. It's useless to push guys like Umaga and Khali, because they have no long term potential. Why couldn't the WWE just do this with a guy like Benjamin or Matt Hardy last year? |

Hacksaw Jim Duggan - Way paste any kind of prime he may have had in the past.
The Spirit Squad - This gimmick got old in the 1st week, get over it Vince. Eugene - No need to comment. That's 7 people, to be honest I can kind of handle WWE's midcard talent right now, there's some good potential. I am shocked WWE don't spend more time developing their wrestler's acting ability and help them improve their promos and show off more charisma. Take a prime example... Bobby Lashley, he looks great, isn't a bad wrestler, but as soon as he opened his mouth, that was it. He sounds really camp and unthreatening and just doesn't show any real emotion. He doesn't 'story tell'. This man is getting a World title shot next month. CM Punk and Mr Kennedy are both ideal candidates to push, WWE are doing it right for once. Matt Striker reminds me alot of late 90s Kurt Angle (minus the extroardinary Wrestling ability, but he needs time to improve). |
