Stop misleading people. I ran in here all hyped to death about how an XMen 4 was being made and not the two backstories but now I find out it's just you making obvious fantasy choices that any of us owuld have made. For shame

It'd be an interesting storyling I think though if it was like Bishop coming in from the future and talking to the X-Men about a horrible future where this evil tyrant (Apocalypse) has overtaken everything thanks to a horrid scheme he enacted in the past and now has his Horsemen (one of them being Sinister) overlooking territories of the globe (a la Age of Apocalypse). So then the story is now Bishop helps the X-Men stop Apocalypse and Sinister and maybe along the way Rogue runs away (again) and runs into Gambit somehow. I spend way too much time with my thoughts.

Well it wouldn't really be the AoA because it's Bishop travelling to the 'present' as opposed to someone going deep into Xavier's past. The AoA came about because Xavier wasn't there to form the X-Men as opposed to the movies where he obviously lived long enough to create them.

My thoughts on X4:

Wolverine=OUT:
We don't need anymore Wolverine than we need. He has his own movie coming out and that's that.

Storm=IN:
She's the head-master of the school now, and Berry would love to have a bigger role. She's pretty much the Storm we all know, now's her chance to run with it.

Emma Frost:
Heather Locklear would be a cool addition to the cast, and a great foil to Halle's Storm. Imagine Emma coming in as a new teacher at the Institute, hired by Orroro to help pick up the slack after the events of Last Stand. But Emma uses shady tactics, and doesn't mind dressing like a hooker in class. A dispute between her and Storm could lead her to create her own team of top students. Oh yes; the Hellions.

FF:
It's all Fox, baby. Have Johnny Storm make a cameo in a theater scene where Bobby Drake and Rogue are leaving a movie. Rogue feels funny (a side effect of the 'cure', being it's only a temp. effect after all) and she rushes to the Ladies Room. She bumps into Johnny Storm while he's on a date and touches her skin. Rogue burst into flames for a sec and scares the shit outta everyone (which could be used to fuel another anti-mutant plot). When Rogue runs off, Bobby gives Johnny a stare like, "You're a mutant?" or something to that regard. I think it would be a cool cameo scene.

More ideas to come.

The Holloway suggestion is not a new idea. I did read somewhere he was approached before production began on X3 if he would/wouldve accept the role and he said no because Gambit is too much like Sawyer and as an actor thats his stance/choice on the matter.

Any of the time travel story lines will gay up the movies. Sinister, Bishop, and Apocalypse all have the potential to do this. You note that they made Juddgy a mutant, and they made Phoenix a hedonistic psychopathic alternate personality.

Pick people to cast that don't gay up the storyline, please.

Oh, but Rickman and Jones are good choices. However, for Apocalypse, I would go with Ving Rames (drawing a blank on the spelling of his last name) or Christopher Judge. Not to knock Jones. And in any case, I think it's a given that Apocalypse must be a big black guy.

OK, so we ignore the whole "Apocalypse rules in the future" nonsense and we'll just have him awakening in this time period after a long slumber. Bishop can come in for the heck of it and just make references to how things are without a mission to do something about it. He then joins the team to bring down The 'Poc and his 4 homies (wouldn't it be cool if he adds a brainwashed Angel alongside Sinister and to really strike a nerve with Magneto, brainwash Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch?) and prevent one of those major schemes that Apocalypse seems to love. Maybe even a show down in a pyramid or something. Please stop me from thinking!!!

Kalyx, taking wolverine out would be the dumbest thing they could do outside of giving the film to joel schumacher.

He IS the x-men. Yeah, us comic nerds will say he is over-exposed, but its not like we're not gonna go see it. Taking him out may mean losing sales to casual fans and people who don't read comics at all. Thats actually the majority of their audience as well.

I had always hoped they put Morph in there somewhere, pref in the first film but hey.

They could've so easily done the whole 'cure' storyline better also me thinks. In the cartoon they had the cure storyline on Muir Island right, then that virus thing which involved Apoc, they should've mixed the two to make the climax of 3, and anticpation of 4 much better, where the cure was the virus and that bought about Apoc, Sinister, Bishop etc. Maybe.

I agree with all your casting except for Mr. Sinister, just looks out of place, also xmen4 is likely a given, because of the end of 3, and hopefully it isn't an apocalypse storyline, because after that what could they do?

Morph isn't a comic book character (though they created someone later with the name but not really the same guy persay) as Funky said (that and from a general movie going populace you would have two characters with identical powers), he was created for the ANimated Series, and please don't quote the animated series for storylines (they fucked every single comic storyline up)

Onslaught would be weird to limit to just X-men characters but it could work. I'd leave out the Alterverse Summers/Grey offspring and Cable's background would have to be massively changed to work and finally for the love of god do not do a House of M movie, terrible!

Why would anyone do a House of M movie. Heck its not even popular amoung the comic book nerds.

An AoA movie might not work but a mini-series would be awesome. Just thinking about it makes my pants wet

If there was an X-4 i would like Mr Sinister to be the main villian. Hes a much better villian than Apocalypse (who has become a joke in the last few years) and givin his connections with Summers and Jean Grey they could find a way to bring those two back( only if they do a better job with cyclops this time).

And if Sinister was the main villian it would be a perfect way to introduce Holloway as Gambit given the characters two interwined histories (and M-A-G didnt think of this casting Holloway was offered the role in X-3).

Lucy Lui? Really as Psylocke, that isn't played out. That is such an obvious choice that it isn't even cool. That girl from Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Hero, Memoirs of a Geshia would be way better.

So is this actualy coming or is this all complete conjecture?

I see someone said the affects of the "Cure" was short lived, that certianly fits with the ending where Magneto begins moving the chess peice. Maybe its time they moved right away from the X-Men comics and Apocolypse as well creating a new set of villans that no one can compare too the old.

I dont know much about the comic series, I was more a cartoon fan (sacrelige(sp?) I know) but it wasnt known too the general populace in the comics that Mutants existed was it?

If so maybe its time to go a whole new way, with mutants out in the open there is a lot of room to move on the sentinel storyline as was hinted in X-3 with the danger room sim at the start.

The biggest problem is where do you go with the actual X-Men. You have Storm, Wolverine and too a lesser extent than that Beast, Rogue, and Iceman as charachters in there own right. Everyone else is so underplayed and underutilised. They seriously need to build up Collossus and maybe bring in Gambit to play a younger Wolverine type part.

And just a random question, wtf happened to Nightcrawler??? Did I miss something in X2 about him because as I watched X3 the other night I wondered the whole time where he was. I almost expected him to pop up in the Jet while they were flying too Alcatraz.
