My thoughts on non-WWE female talents. That's right.
It's about that time again! You're sick of Halloween candy, soon there's turkey to be had, and MFH gets a hankerin' to edgey-cate people in the finer sides of Indy girls studying Joshi tapes. The first thing that I thought of when making this thread was "OK, I'm not gonna make a OMG! WwE tOTaly needZ ta PiCk DeEEZ PPl uP taMORRoW! thread." I can hypothesize all I want about how any worker would look on RAW. The cold truth is there's no set way to determine who would get over. The path to the Steve Austins & Mick Foleys is littered with the Nick Dinsmores & Harley Races, so to speak . I just feel like offering up my thoughts on which women are worth watching, and everybody gets crash coarse in the Independant Diva Search 101. Let's get started, shall we?



Dark Angel

She's a little above average all across the board. Not spectacular, but she gets it done well enough in the ring. Her best strength is that she has almost otherworldly flexibility. She can kick guys in the face without leaving the ground! I've seen her literally tied into knots, only to pop up into a moonsault 5 seconds later. She's Canadian, but Angel's worked almost exclusively in Mexico. Current WWE roster, she would fall somewhere on a Chavo. Doesn't stand out all that much, but they can seriously run with the ball if given it.


Mickie Knuckles

"The Other" Mickie may not be much to look at, but once she gets in the ring she makes up. Lots of sweet-looking strikes and suplexes, and I think that she's blessed with one of the better body types. She can work the underdog style against bigger girls, and she can convincingly hand out heelish beatings to smaller ones. Mickie's also adept at getting in the ring with guys if need be. One thing, tho, is DO NOT let this girl near a microphone. She has one of the most ear-bleedingly awful southern drawls I've ever heard . WWE-wise, The only thing I could see doing with her is valet to Cade & Murdoch. Then, the drawl might come in handy . BTW, I think she looks like a human version of Meg from Family Guy.


Daizee Haze

Of all of these girls, Daizee's probabaly the most recognizable on these boards. She's worked tons of ROH, managing the likes of Austin Aries & Jimmy Rave. I'm really fond of her "Dazed and Confused hippie chick" gimmick. She's well suited at playing it for comedy, but she can mix it up with anybody on any given night. That's probably her greatest strength, that she can get in the ring with anybody & work their style. Most of the time, tho, she plays the Little Girl In Peril, which she knows to a T. WWE could pick up a lot worse than her (and probably will), but knowing them they would probably slap her with a narcoleptic gimmick or something. For some people, it's better if they steer clear of the big time.


Hailey Hatred

Her gimmick is she's simply a big, nasty, dominant heel. I'm really fond of the japanese style of strikes, slams, and locks, & that's exactly what this girl excels at. She's been on the giving end of the matches I've seen her in, so I'm not sure how she could deal in a match where she has to keep up with somebody that's as big as her . That doesn't keep her from being one of the little Indy gems that I like to keep an eye on tho. She really seems comperable to Kane in her workrate and style, so I would love to see Vince pick her up to be Kane's "New Flame". Her boyfriend is a guy named Mitch Magnus, who I think looks like a non-Straightedge C.M. Punk.

Whoops, Allison slipped my mind. I was just typing these up as I thought of them, so naturally my fondness plays into it . Anywho Allison would be one that I would kill to see signed, if just for a training capacity. She's worked every matchtype imaginable in pretty much every country that's known for a "style" of wrestling, so she would have a lot to offer anybody willing to learn.

I havn't seen much of Rebecca, but what I have seen's been gold. Another one of those wonderful globe-hopping wrestlers that go to every country possible. Also, here's a pic of Allison Danger for anybody who hasn't seen her. She worked in ROH as the manager of Christopher Daniels' faction, which I think is pretty awesome

Pretty sure Corino pinned her in a mixed tag in Japan a while ago. Probably Zero-1...

Anyhoo, brief thoughts:

-Daizee is awesome. She's been working heel most places the last few months at least though? At least in ROH and Chikara. I'm behind on Shimmer but last I checked she was face there. I actually prefer her as the slightly delusional tough chick who thinks she can beat anyone.

-Allison's ok but she still needs a *lot* of work in-ring. I mean really.

-Rebecca is better than both of them put together, from what I've seen. Terrible, terrible shame about her injury but here's hoping she pulls through.

If you haven't seen them or know about them Sara Del Ray and Cheerleader Melissa are both worth checking out too.

The Daizee Haze matches I've seen all have her being punished the whole match, only to pull a something like a Diamond Cutter out of nowhere for the win. If I were booking her, I'd play the "Little Girl with Big Heart" card. I might change my mind if I saw some of her heel work tho.

I used to have a Cheerleader Melissa DVD, but I traded it to somebody. Meh, I dunno. I hear tons about how great she is, but from what I've seen she doesn't much live up to it. It's like, there's such a thing as being too dominant.

Oh yeah, the Mind Trip. Snapmare Driver She never seems to hit it right.

See if you can find some of her Chikara stuff. Seeing her go toe-to-toe (well, trying) with Mickie Knuckles is quite something.

Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew are one of the few regular female tags the Indy scene has to offer. Talia & April Hunter get more exposure, but I've always liked Lacey & Rain's dynamic together more. It's because Lacey & Rain have been tagging together for years (pretty much since they were in wrestling school). T&A just recently came together, mostly because they're both the amazon supermodel type.
