Better Idea? [RAW Spoilers]
So me and my friend were talking about RAW... specifically the ending, when it was revealed Khali was the guy who did the backstage attacks. My question: Who would you have preferred?

My first instinct was the ECW Originals. John Cena would come out, ask for the perpetrator to reveal themselves...and be abruptly rushed via the audience by Dreamer, Sabu, RVD, Sandman, Balls, and whoever else. One of them would grab the mic and start talking about how since Vince decided to shit on ECW, they'd shit on the WWE... starting with destroying the main event.

Another joking but admittedly humorous idea was to reveal it as Perry Saturn. Why did he do it? 'CUZ HE'S PERRY SATURN, GODDAMMIT. You could also unleash Paul Burchill on RAW in a similar position, given his Ripper gimmick... but I'm not saying either of these were even remotely possible.

They could have held off answers longer. When Cena called out the attacker, they could have instead had Coach come out and blame Cena for it all... and then suspend Cena, making him drop the title. Next week, Shawn would still be in the hospital, and unable to provide answers. Edge would reveal that he didn't actually see his attacker, being hit from behind. Orton would be twitchy and paranoid, and be unwilling to reveal the truth. With Cena still suspended, it would be the start of a tournament to decide the next World Champion... with the mystery of who the attacker was still hanging in the air.


Thoughts?

The thing is, I don't think having Khali challenge is the worst thing ever. I mean, he's basically been the elephant in the room that nobody's been talking about on Raw. He's beaten everybody. Handily. Whether you like him or not (and I personally don't), the fact is that he IS there, and if he's going to BE there, you can't have him not try and go after the top dog after he's beaten everybody else. I really don't think he'll win. I really HOPE he won't win. But given the position they're in, you can't just pretend he's not there, and a viable contender at that.

I was thinking it was gonna be Mark Henry. A huge swerve, instead of him returning to Smackdown this Friday, him showing up on Raw and making an impact, revealing that's where he was staying and going after the WWE title.

Yeah that would have been awful but I was just thinking it as a possibility as I was watching it.

The third idea was amazingly good. That could have dragged on for a couple months and put ratings up loads. People want angles that last a few months, have substance and are at least in some way exciting and thought-provoking. Surely that can't be too hard?

The attacker could be anybody, I don't give a fuck. It'd have just kept my interest more if they'd have drawn it out more and then disappointed me, instead of just blowing it at the end of the show. I didn't flesh out anything for months in advance, I just threw a quick alternative out there. Apparently, speculating at all immediately puts me on an Alienoid level. What the fuck ever.

If the third idea rolled on, the PPV main event could have just been the tournament finals. If Khali has to be in the main event that fucking much that you can't imagine a world without it, then yes, I don't see why he couldn't still be the backstage attacker.

I just figured that not everybody thinks Khali was the ultimate end-all, be-all best perpetrator for the angle. So far, I think you might be the only person who thinks Khali was the only inevitable answer.

Wow. Firstly, I think you widely misunderstood me. No, Khali doesn't HAVE to be there, but the way they've been using him, he might as well be. Secondly, I never even said the word Alienoid, and that's not a big deal either way. Thirdly, don't ask for people's THOUGHTS on your HYPOTHETICAL SITUATIONS if you aren't prepared to deal with a little criticism. I told you why I didn't think they would work, and that's that. Khali has been running straight through people the entire time he's been on Raw. Logically speaking, it would only make sense to give a title shot to somebody who has been doing that (storyline speaking, I'm talking).

The Alienoid reference was from someone else. I just figured I'd nail as much as I could in one fell swoop.

I asked if anyone would have preferred another attacker over Khali, and instead of that, you just said my ideas are dumb. Okay. I don't see how that's criticism so much as you being a dick, since you still haven't pointed out how the idea's so bad... except for the fact that you don't like it, and it requires an extremely small stretch of the imagination for Cena dropping the title (they've done worse for other belt drops). That's not criticism. You have yet to actually say what's wrong with the idea, you've only restated several times why you think it needs to be Khali.
