Throwing Copper is fucking epic. That shit got played daily back in the day, not just by myself but by preactically everyone. In school we had control of the PA system in the assembly hall area and this band, among the other popular alt rock bands of the time got all the airplay.

Back then, there was no pop or rap.

The decline of alternative nation occured in 1997. Hanson and the spice girls as you mentioned got to the kiddies and all hell broke loose from there.

91-96 were prime.

I used to listen to them all the time in high school, and even pulled out some of their old cd's just recently and put them on my ipod. Unseathed is one of my top favorites from the Secret Samadhi cd.
