This thread reeks of retardation.

And you know it's bad when both ToVo and I are breaking KAYFABE to agree on something that is normally outside both our purviews.

Anywho, no offense, but figuring you've probably seen maybe 1 Jimmy Jacobs match, and maybe a handful of ROH matches, your opinion on the matter really means nothing to me.

I like Jimmy Jacobs and all, but I still stick by my statement that this angle has been a let down.

Maybe down the line in my turn into something better, but I just feel that this cries out YouTube.

The major problem with the angle, IMO, is that "mystery group" angles usually have a "big payoff" when the members are announced. However, on the indy scene there are very few wrestlers who could have a big enough impact to live up to the hype. Necro has an "impact" but ALOT of people don't like him. As I said before, I'm not a fan, but I think this role might work. ROH is usually damn good at booking, so I can't imagine this stable will fall on its face.

One thing I'm wondering, is if the Briscoes will eventually split, and one of them will end up in Age of the Fall. The Briscoes have been built as unstoppable together, so it makes sense for an eventually split. If they start wrestling singles matches, they should become less spotty. Who knows though.

Considering this is a continuation of an angle that has been going for about 18 months now I wouldn't worry too much.

And if anyone is splitting it's Steen & Generico. Jacobs + Black + Necro + Steen =

I also want to add that if this had been done by WWE, the three or four people who are all over RoH's dick would be laughing at them as hard as they are at WWE thinking little Bastard as Vince's son is a good idea.

It really is semantics. It's gold because it's ROHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

In WWE, I can guarantee these cocksuckers would think it was a horrible idea.

No, it isn't. And people trying to stir shit for no reason is retarded.

It wouldn't get done in WWE, period. The nearest thing I can remember WWE doing to this in terms of a visual, and I've probably forgotten something, is when Kane covered Austin in blood pre-King of the Ring 98. Yeah, that long ago. I'm sure there's been something since then but I can't recall it. The nearest in angle terms is the Jericho-Trish-Christian love triangle from before WMXX, which was ok but never really given the time or space to develop as it could have. WWE does not have the luxury of having angles play out over the space of 18 months, simple as. They also don't have the time to invest in character development in guys further down the card unless they're being moved to a point where they might draw a buyrate. RoH does not have shareholders to answer to.

Whoever is bashing WWE for the Hornswaggle thing is an idiot, since they did the best they could to temporarily hold off until Kennedy can come back and then move the angle forward. It's quite hilarious that some people will deride fans of indy wrestling who don't like much of what WWE produces, and then they themselves will turn around and bash most of the best elements of WWE (eg Cena)

RoH does some retarded things. Their show names are terrible. Some of the roster are awful and I never watch their matches (ie Matt Cross). But when they are on their game their best stuff is easily as good as WWE's best, albeit on a lower scale, and it happens more frequently.

Well, apparantly according to most of the fucktards on here, you can't be a fan of ROH and not be a kool-aid drinking fanboy. I'm a big fan of ROH, but not so much that I couldn't admit something that I don't like with the company. It's just easier for these idiots to cut down the company without having any idea what they're talking about than to actually give the shit an actual chance.

A good angle is a good angle. If WWE did this the same way ROH did this, I'd still like it. If ROH did the Son angle the same way WWE did it, I'd still shit on it.

See KK, you want to act high and mightly, making it look like we think that everyone who doesn't like this is just stirring shit. However, you act like anyone who does like it is a kool-aid drinking mark. THat my friend, would make you a hypocrite.

What it comes down to is you have no fucking clue what you're talking about. How much ROH have you actually watched? What shows or matches have you seen lately? Here's the difference between us. I've watched a good amount of ROH. There are things I love, things I hate. I'll gladly bring up both. You on the other hand, probably haven't seen much, if any, and appear to simply bash it constantly with nothing to support your opinion. But hey, prove me wrong. Show me you inferences about how since he's covered in blood and they hung someone that ROH is a garbage fed. Or that they're all spot matches, or that they're all 35 minute, boring matches.

Or better yet, fuck it. I'll continue to talk about ROH with people who actually watch it and like it. You can continue to bash it all you want, with or without watching it, and then go back to watching WWE or TNA, despite the fact that all you can do is bitch about it. God forbid we like ROH, and and don't simply accept the suck that is the current televised wrestling scene.

Damn, that pic is the Jimmy I remember from the cage match with BJ back on WM weekend. That boy can be as sadistic as he wants, at one point he even had barbed wire in his mouth and was hitting himself with a spike.

Jimmy Jacobs probably has had more character development in the last 14 months than 90% of the rest of the wrestlers in America.

Show me you ainferences about how since he's covered in blood and they hung someone that ROH is a garbage fed. Or that they're all spot matches, or that they're all 35 minute, boring matches.

Ok, Kane Knight, what's your response to this? Also, keep in mind, I never said that "OMG ROH IZ THE BEST! WWE SUKXA!!!!@!" or whatever you're probably gonna type. I agree that some ROH fans are annoying. I'm just asking how you can judge something that you hardly even know. It isn't like some CZW shit. A good number of guys have came from ROH, and went on to bigger and more known companies. How many CZW guys can you say that about? I'm not saying that alot of those guys wouldn't have got noticed anyways, but the point is that apparently they have a good eye for talent, and have allowed lots of talented young kids a stage to grow on.

In the long run, ROH is just a breeding ground for future stars, and you know what? I'm fine with that. I think more than anything, you're the one putting words in our mouth. I never claimed that they were the #1 wrestling company, or any of that shit. Go ahead and neg rep me now though, instead of actually intelligently trying to rebute some of what I say.

and for the record, I enjoy some guys in the WWE nowadays, such as MVP, Kennedy, ect. OMG, hell has frozen over. Somebody actually enjoys ROH wrestling and WWE wrestling at the same time. Who wudda thunk it?

Not to be a dick or anything but a good amount of the roh roster has wrestled for CZW.

I like both companies. I went to my first ROH show back in March on WM weekend and I was entertained. I even went back the next night, and even this past Friday. I partly like it due to being there live and it being a smaller building so you are that much closer to the action.

Yeah, I know that. My point being is that regardless of the fact that they have used some of the same talent, Ring of Honor still isn't a company that relies on light tubes, and stupid shit like that. It wouldn't be fair to compare ROH to CZW as far as the product itself goes. CZW goes overboard with the violence and shit. At least when ROH has violence, it's for a reason (a hated fued or whatever).

Exactly the type of blog entry I'd expect from a Jimmy Jacobs fan.

Not Jimmy's best promo by any means, but not bad. Unfortunately I'm always going to try to hold him up to his "I love you Big Brother/prom speech" promo from the night before the cage match with Whitmer. ANywho, I didn't mind the promo... I think my main problem with it is claiming Briscoes have all the power since they're the tag champs... Although I guess since they've been in ROH forever, as opposed to the world champ, it makes sense.

I also love the Briscoe "promo" at the end.
