Very interesting turn of events. I would like the rosters to stay the same except for the following.
Little Spike Dudley- go to smackdown to compete with other cruiserweights. Tired of seeing LSD job around to all the guys that are 150 lbs heavier then him. RVD and Booker T- After seeing there performance on raw last night really dont care to ever see them on the program again. Huricane and The S.H.I.T. - Funny angle, would rather have them on smackdown. Kane - go to smackdown get some sense knocked into him by taker, and form a new acolyte stable. Dawn Marie- Really like to see her come to raw maybe manage Lance Storm like in the good ol days.. plus watching her makes my pants tight. ![]() Edge- when he comes back to come to RAW cause I watch raw more than SD. Gotta see the downward spiral more than i do now. Johnny 'The Bull' Stamboli- Cause he is a good but underated wrestler that I like watching, preferably on raw. I guess I am a little biased to the SD fans out there, I would like to give the trash of raw to SD.. Simply to make raw better in my eyes. BTW did anyone else notice the great performance by the dudleys last night. Only to job to 'RVT' and have RVD and Booker screw up almost all of there moves last night. despicable.. despicable.. What are your guys thoughts on the draft? Only when you have lost everything are you free to gain anything. ![]() |

Neat ideas, but I dunno about Rene/Austin feud. La Resistance has gotten their ass kicked countless times by Americans. Remember, Goldberg did it, Rock and Foley did it, Austin did it, and I'm sure more people will do it.

So it isn't as if the GMs are picking the guys, since they are in the lottery as well. It's just random drawings from a hat so to speak? Cuz I would figure the first picks from either side would be each respective champion. But since no one in particular is choosing the guys, it really is a crapshoot.

Although I can see a flaw in it: anyone with half a brain would see that it was rigged. Because I doubt they'd waste one of the on-air showings by announcing that some jobber like Orlando Jordan had been drawn by the Raw Brand, but at the same time, if only big names were drawn during the backstage skits, it would also be a bit TOO convienient. If they don't do that, the only other logical way I think would be to have 50 pieces of paper that say "Raw" and 50 that say "Smackdown" and just have the wrestlers randomly pick. It could be like the Royal Rumble where they show the backstage locker room lined up waiting to pick, it gives it the whole "random" feel. Plus this way, they can still focus on the big names when they go to pick their numbers. |

Big Vito: Okay, I know you guys are sick of me talking about Orton, but I got to get this out. Orton needs to stay with Evolution and not switch to another show seperate from them. Orton has the whole young cocky "Legend Killer" character and it wouldn't make any sense to break him from Flair and Trips right now because he HAS to turn on them eventually. Think back to Rock 97-98. Remember when he first joined the Nation and Farroq was leader. Rememebr how he SLOWLY started to steal the spotlight from Farroq and slowly begin his takeover of the Nation. By the Time he actually turned on Farooq and had the entire Nation turn on Farroq, he was really over with the crowd and Farooq made a great babyface at that time.
Okay, Now I admit Orton is no Rock (there I said it), but I think by him and Batista turning on Flair and Trips about 5 or 6 months from now would really solidify them as top heels, well at least Orton. Orton's character is bound to do this as he will become tired of standing in the shadow of Flair and Trips and will become jelous of thier spotlight. Orton needs to start slowly begginning his step in taking over Evolution with the New Blood (Cade, Jindrack, Maven) and start becoming a thorn in Trips' and Flair's side. Now, just look what would come out of this whole thing. And try to look at it from a mark's point of view and not as an internet fan. We would Flair and Trips turning babyface, who you know the fans would cheer if they saw a couple of young punks disrespecting two great Legends of the business. And to top that off, you get something I know the fans have been wanting to see for a while now. You get a Shawn Michaels/HHH reunion. Just think about it. HHH and Flair are being attacked in the ring by the "New Evolution" and here comes Michaels for the save with a chair and all. As the "New Evolution" leaves, we see Michaels move towards Flair and help him up as Flair shakes his hand. Then the crowd gets silent as we see Michaels move towards HHH. Michaels extends his hand to HHH, but Hunter gets up by himself. Then the two stare at each other for a few minutes and then HHH extends his hand towards Michaels. Michaels shakes his hand and then the two hug right in the center of the ring. I mean, that would be a hell of a moment from a mark's perspective and even I would want to see that. And then you go to the New Evolution feuding with those three guys. So that's why I think Orton needs to stay with Evolution for now. |

I see John Cena heading to RAW, cus his character fits more on that show. I agree with Vito with Nunzio being seperate from the FBI, considering he was the only member to be involved in WM. I also agree that Spike should go to SD to compete with the cruiserweights. But most of all, Im going so I get to witness it all live.

The only way the roster split would work is that Smackdown goes live on Thursday nights.

Well, if they're gonna completely make two rosters anyway, I think they should do away with the whole "Raw" and "SmackDown" thing. I'm sure nobody probably agrees, but they might as well just make one WCW, and one WWE. There's no point in doing this shit otherwise.

I still think that Vince should never have killed WCW, or ECW. I mean, sure the WCW thing was just lame, but it showed that there was more than just WWE Wrestling. I mean, he could've made tons more money if he kept the two. I heard the rumors of him bringing back ECW, and that just sounds smart...
As for the WWE RAW, WWE SMACKDOWN! 2004 Draft, I also believe it was lame to split them up as seperate shows. RAW and SMACKDOWN! deserve more thatn being split. The new rosters should be good, but I still prefer one united company... Then again, it's just me... |

Well, the idea kinda died when they couldn't get TV time for the "new" WCW show. Beyond that, they totally fu>cked up the inVasion angle.
Right there, we have two major problems...Lack of a second genuine promotion and lack of a real buildup. So they killed it. Makes sense, to an extent. The WWE hasn't really been able to handle the Cruiserweights well, so how on earth would they book an entire WCW promotion? |

I had a whole long thing explaining my reasoning behind everything, but IE crashed on me. Holy fleurking schnit...
Anyway, what I think is going to happen is that Vince isn't going to allow the GMs to pick their own guys. After what he said about Eric and Paul giving favors to their favorite guys, I think he'll make the top 30 picks himself, then leave everything else up to the drawing. This is how I'd do it: === RAW's picks Chris Benoit Randy Orton The Rock The Undertaker Kane Booker T Shawn Michaels Mick Foley Edge The Big Show Batista Mark Henry Rikishi Matt Morgan A-Train SmackDown's picks Eddie Guerrero John Cena Kurt Angle Triple H Ric Flair Rob Van Dam Chris Jericho Christian Matt Hardy Rhyno Sean O'Haire Hardcore Holly Lance Storm Billy Gunn Nick Dinsmore From there, Vince will swap the Cruiserweights and the Women (putting all the Divas on SmackDown, whether they're wrestlers or not), so... RAW gets Chavo Guerrero Rey Mysterio Tajiri Scotty 2 Hotty Jamie Noble Billy Kidman The Hurricane Spike Dudley Nunzio Shannon Moore Paul London Ultimo Dragon Akio Funaki SmackDown gets Victoria Molly Holly Trish Stratus Lita Shaniqua Stacy Keibler Torrie Wilson Sable Miss Jackie Jazz Dawn Marie Nidia Gail Kim Ivory Jacqueline Lilian Garcia Terri Since that puts SmackDown at a three-person advantage, Vince makes a judgment call and puts Sakoda and the Dudley Boyz on RAW to keep their groups together. Then, the lottery is held to decide where the rest of the superstars will go. These are in a fairly random order (to make it look like it's really random ![]() RAW draws Sylvan Grenier Rosey Christopher Nowinski Rene Dupree Bradshaw Orlando Jordan Jon Heidenreich Danny Basham John Hennigan/Johnny Blaze/Johnny Spade/"Little Johnny?" Rodney Mack Doug Basham Rico Nova SmackDown draws Mark Jindrak Val Venis Scott Steiner Tommy Dreamer Rob Conway Chuck Palumbo Maven Shelton Benjamin Charlie Haas Steven Richards Garrison Cade Test Johnny Stamboli The announcers are divided up next. RAW Play-by-Play = Michael Cole Color Commentary = Jerry Lawler Backstage = Al Snow SmackDown! Play-By-Play = Jim Ross Color Commentary = Tazz Backstage = Jonathan Coachman Then, to run the shows, Vince appoints three-person committees. RAW's general manager is still Eric Bischoff, but Stephanie McMahon will be overseeing him, and William Regal will be the "Enforcer"-type guy. Over on SmackDown, Paul Heyman continues to run things, but he gets Steve Austin as his new sheriff and Shane McMahon breathing down his neck. Oh, and Theodore Long goes to RAW and Bill DeMott does stuff for SmackDown. I couldn't figure out what to do with those two ![]() === That was a good deal of work, and that's just about everyone (using the WWE.com rosters as references). So, if you don't like it...piss on you, 'cause that was hard. Thoughts? Last edited by loopydate; 03-18-2004 at 06:52 PM. Reason: You'll understand after SmackDown |

Possible post-draft storylines ('cause I got nothing better to do):
RAW - Eric Bischoff claims that he's going to do what Paul Heyman failed to do at Wrestlemania. He's going to give them a cruiserweight open that is decided, not by individual one-on-one matches, but by a fifteen-man cluster of brutality. In the end, surprise entrant Nova picks up the victory. - Edge jumps right into the main event, saving Mick Foley from a Randy Orton/Batista beatdown. By Bad Blood, Edge is wearing the Intercontinental Title, gearing up for a run at Chris Benoit for Survivor Series. - Chris Benoit finally gets his clean win over Shawn Michaels, then goes into a feud with Booker T that lights up arenas (like their best-of-seven series from WCW). - John Hennigan is revealed as "Little Johnny." He then does us all a favor and ends Jon Heidenreich's career. SmackDown! - With no World Tag Team Champions (since Scotty and Rikishi took the WWE belts to RAW), SmackDown holds a tournament to decide new champs. During a first-round match pitting Triple H and Ric Flair against Garrison Cade and Mark Jindrak, Cade brutally turns on Jindrak, helping H and Naitch pick up the victory. Cade has joined Evolution, and Jindrak swears revenge! - World's Greatest Tag Team beats the Lords of the Ring in the tournament final. - Jindrak talks about bringing in "some old friends" to deal with Evolution. During a Jindrak vs. Flair match, the cavalry arrives when Sean O'Haire, Johnny Stamboli, and Chuck Palumbo run in. The Natural Born Thrillers reunite! This feud keeps Triple H out of the main event for the time being, so... - Eddie Guerrero, Kurt Angle, and Rob Van Dam can put on an incredible string of matches, culminating in Guerrero finally dropping the belt to Angle at Summerslam. I think if the rosters are going to split up it needs to be done right. Not a few switches. Move the cruiserweights to raw. as much as I dont want to see it The Worlds greatest tag team split up could be great. they both seem like they could do great as singles wrestlers. Cena/Orton feud would be nice. Kurt Angle/ Chris Jericho , Edge/Orton and even Edge/Jericho could be great...so on raw the top 10 guys id like to see is
RAW Edge John Cena Randy Orton Kurt Angle Chris Jericho Undertaker Kane Rey Mysterio Big Show Hurricane |
