I've never heard RVD talk about WWE firing people for pot. Any interview I ever read with RVD talking about the Wellness policy always revolved around him moaning about the fines.

He was still trying to blame his suspension on weed, which was largely ridiculous since he was found with like six different kinds of pills as well.

RVD is the Pothead equivalent of Chris Kanyon. Kanyon seems to start every statement with "Since I came out of the closet...." RVD seems to turn almost everything into "This is bullshit. Why does WWE persecute pot smokers?"

I mean, I know Eddie and Benoit didn't die of pot, but it doesn't take a genius why WWE would react harshly to drug use after two high profile deaths in a couple years. And again, Benoit didn't spark up before he killed his family, and Eddie didn't die of glaucoma medication, but WWE's a fucking business. A publically traded company subject to public scrutiny. And yeah, the Wellness Policy's a joke, but RVD bitches about the way he was treated for getting caught by the cops...

...And when Hardy was suspended, a lot of people did bitch about the whole pot bit, even though they don't fire/suspend for pot.
