WWE SmackDown & Superstars Results *Spoilers*
Smackdown opened with CM Punk challenging Jeff Hardy to a "Loser leaves WWE" match for later in the evening which Hardy accepted. Teddy Long came out to make the match official and said that the winner would go on to face The Undertaker at Breaking Point in a submission match.

Big Show and Chris Jericho defeated Cryme Tyme. This started as a singles match, but Long turned it into a tag match.

Melina pinned Layla. Michelle McCool came out on crutches and sat in on commentary. Melina ended up pushing McCool over.

Matt Hardy & John Morrison defeated The Hart Dynasty.

Drew McIntyre vs. R-Truth never happened as Drew attacked before the bell, got on the mic & left.

Rey Mysterio beat Kane by DQ. After the match, Khali came out after Kane and Ziggler attacked Mysterio so it looks like those feuds, as Howard Finkel would say, MUST continue!

In the match event, CM Punk defeats Jeff Hardy in a steel cage match. It was said to be a great match and Hardy did a farewell speech afterwards.

Here's a more detailed account:

* CM Punk was introduced as the new World Hvt. Champion. Highlights of his SummerSlam match with Jeff hardy aired. Huge heat for Punk. Did you know Punk doesn't take anything for pain? Highlights aired of Undertaker's return at SummerSlam.

Jeff Hardy came out selling injuries to a monster pop. Punk brings up loser leaves WWE. Here we go. He challenges Hardy to a Loser Leaves WWE match for tonight. Hardy accepted the stipulation for tonight's main event.

SmackDown general manager Teddy Long made the match official. He also announced that the winner of the Punk vs. Hardy match would be challenged by Undertaker in a submissions match at the Breaking Point pay-per-view.

* John Morrison and Matt Hardy defeated The Hart Dynasty. Morrison pinned David Hart Smith.

* Drew McIntrye was supposed to wrestle R-Truth, but Drew knocked him out and cut a promo. Why is Truth over?

* Maria and Melina were shown backstage. Maria wants people to be happy for her and Dolph. Melina said she saw Dolph with another woman. Dolph claimed the woman was his sister.

* Melina pinned Layla. Michelle McCool came out on crutches and sat in on commentary. Melina ended up pushing McCool over.

* Josh Matthews came out and interviewed Mike Knox. It was a quiet interview until Finlay attacked. We made Knox bust out laughing. It seems Finlay smells like Axe body spray.

* Big Show and Chris Jericho defeated Cryme Tyme. This started as a singles match, but Long turned it into a tag match.

* Jeff Hardy was shown getting ready, and Matt came in to talk to him.

* Rey Mysterio defeated Kane by DQ. Rey smacked my hand before the match. I've arrived! There was a huge botched spot by both men. Kane was DQ'd for ramming Rey into the ring post. Great Khali came out and brawled with Kane. Khali tossed Kane out. Dolph came out and laid out Rey, which scored amazing heat.

* CM Punk defeated Jeff Hardy in a steel cage, loser leaves WWE match to retain the World Hvt. Championship. Amazing match. We could hear the camera man talking and it sounded like something was going down. Punk wins! Punk wins! Hardy delivered a great speech afterward.

*Jeff then walked around the rails thanking the fans, JR. Grisham & others. Once he got to the stage Punk attacked him again. Punk then went to the ring, grabbed the mic & interrupted by Taker who chokeslammed him. Punk was carried out by 4 refs as DX came out for a dark 6man tag.

Nope, in honor of "The Rise & Fall of WCW" being released, Jeff Hardy will return to the WWE in 3 weeks and this match won't even be mentioned. Jeff Hardy will then challenge CM Punk in a Halfway House Brawl in which the winner must be the first to grab the pack of cigarettes off a lightpole outside the halfway house.

saw this posted on czwfans by someone who attended the show live.

Said that if anyone in the crowd was feeling the pain he was from TLC they would need to be injected with morphine. Continued ranting and bashing the crowd until Hardy came out. They went back and forth for a bit then Punk said that the Cage Match should also be "loser leaves WWE". Hardy agreed.

Fast forward to the main event in what was a tremendous cage match. Tons of near falls and great teases throughout the match. Punk escaped the cage to win and then left. Hardy got a big ovation from the crowd and got on the mic and proceeded to thank everyone and bid farewell. Said that this isnt goodbye forever and "when the time is right, I'll see you all again". Hardy celebrated and walked all around ringside shaking hands with fans, JR and Grisham, the timekeepers etc. He was at the ramp waving goodbye one last time, when Punk came back out and attacked him. Crowd was livid, this is where it got real good.

Punk began walking down the ramp and walked up to crying girls in the crowd and was mocking them and screaming in their faces. One girl was livid and yelling "FAGGOT!" right in Punks face while she was bawling, another was flipping Punk the middle finger right in his face with tears flowing while he was going off big time on her. GREAT STUFF!

Punk grabbed the mic and began talking again, then Taker entered the ring. Punk began begging Taker not to attack, and was pretending to leave the ring, then attacked Taker. Taker chokeslammed him to end the show. This should all come out awesome on TV.

Wow, this could cause "FUCK YOU PHIL BROOKS!!1!" guy to go on a 5-state killing spree.

At first I had reservations about them not just having Summerslam be Hardy's last appearance in WWE...there are worse ways to be written out than to be "taken" by the Undertaker. And I wasn't all that excited about the prospect of a cage match on TV, because cage matches almost always suck these days. But I'm glad this sounds so awesome, and I have no doubt they'll make it look even more awesome after taking the footage to the editing booth.

The powers that be seem to be pushing Randy Orton as their "sick, sadistic motherfucker of a heel" these days, but it doesn't really work because he gets his comeuppance a bit too frequently. If this comes off as well as it sounds it did, Punk will have absolutely NO problems getting heat from the non-smarks crowd for the foreseeable future and may become their most bankable heel in recent memory. Especially if they decide to show him making all the kids cry, even if they have to blur out a few middle fingers and beep out expletives from the crowd.
