Outside of Christian, who do you think has the best chance at the MITB?

Since it's filled, it seems to me that, outside of Christian, no one comes close to having a chance at winning. Who, outside of Christian, do you think has the best chance of winning?

Edit: lol Matt Hard

Yeah he seems like the extremely obvious choice. I guess MVP would be my #2 pick

Shelton's been in this thing more times than I can remember.

I'd put him as the #2 favroite.

For me I would have to say Kane. If Christian is not destined to win it then I think we need to see Kane in the title hunt and a MITB win would clearly set that up

See, this is why I think WM24 MITB match was the best. Not only were all the perfomers perfect for the match, but they were all solid midcarders, whom any of them COULD have won.

This is why, whilst the match itself should be great none-the-less, the outcome won't be too shocking for me.

In all honesty, I don't think Kane or Bourne will win it, and seeing as how WWE goes off people so quickly, I don't really see Swagger, Ziggler or MVP winning it. And of course WWE look as though they've given up trying to make Matt Hardy a main-eventer. I would fucking love to see Benjamin win this soooo much, but seeing as WWE usually pay no attention to him until this time of year, I really don't see anyone else winning this other than Christian.

Which is good, for the record, but kinda spoils the match a bit. Hopefully I'll be wrong.

Am I the only one who actually doesn't think Christian is a lock? Keep in mind that there is no logical reason the Money in the Bank Winner doesn't cash in their title shot successfully. If Christian wins the match, he will be either a WWE Champion or World Heavyweight Champion -- most likely before July where they have a PPV called "Money in the Bank."

Yes, Christian has been going great work on ECW, and yes, he is a tremendous performer. Since when does that really matter when it comes to pushing guys, however? Everyone called Christian last year, but when you broke it down, he wasn't the likely choice. He seems to be a much stronger pick this year, but I dunno. Everyone seems to think it is a lock, but look at some of the other guys.

MVP has got a pretty decent shot of winning, in my opinion. He's made it onto every PPV this year. That's something that Christian hasn't done. Sure, he's been spinning his wheels against the US Champion, but if they want to push him they aren't going to put a mid-card title on him, are they? MVP has also been getting some stronger reactions lately -- bigger pops than Christian a lot of the time. The WWE also wants to create African-American stars.

Matt Hardy is another guy with a decent shot. He's always consistently over, even while booking is not the same for him. With TNA using Jeff Hardy, I don't know if the WWE is more or less likely to promote Matt Hardy. But Matt has just gone back to the awesome pants, and otherwise he is in a very similar position to Christian when you really break it down -- except Matt hasn't been winning as much. He got to pin Drew McIntyre, though, which to me is the company trying to get him looking credible heading into the match. Don't rule out Matt as a darkhorse winner. Especially since he has no more going against him in the company than Christian does.

Shelton Benjamin has been in so many of these that it almost seems like he has to win one. I think they will push him on his own this year, though, and that he goes from that to winning the match next year, or something. Maybe they'll even give him a Money in the Bank win in July, or something.

I think Kane can be ruled out, because he has never been one for putting himself over younger guys. Kane seems like the kind of guy who would gladly just be in the match as a veteran presence and for the big man dynamic, and not really want to win the match. But Kane winning would not shock me if they got wind Kane was planning to retire, and they wanted to give him one more run at the top.

Dolph Ziggler has gotten a bit of life recently, but I look at this as a chance for him to prove himself on the big stage. The same goes for Jack Swagger and Evan Bourne. I look for all three men to be involved in memorable spots, but none of them to win.

So you're basically saying Christian is your #2 pick.

Who is your #1 pick?

Fuck a thread where I cannot click on Christian's name. THIS THREAD IS FUCKING BROKEN. BROKEN I TELL YOU.

I feel Christian is the one that has the best chance of winning and I hope to see it happen and go for the World Title. However, I honestly would vote other if there was an option, because I think Drew McIntyre will somehow win.

I like the long post in here, and you make good points... but as mentioned, all those guys go on to win the title. Does WWE want to end that streak? Because I don't see Benjamin, Hardy, Bourne, or Ziggler ever holding the WWE or World Title. Kane? Maybe as a transitional champion for a few weeks. Swagger...maybe someday. MVP. Maybe someday.

MVP gets better pops because the last 3 and a half years he was on Smackdown and RAW, which had 3 times the viewers as TNA and ECW did...so look for Christian's popularity to eclipse that of MVP.

Christian is 36... time isn't necessarily on his side, if WWE is going to give him a good run as a top title contender. Thats pretty old for someone to win their first WWE top title.

So he looks to be the obvious choice, I'm a number one peep...I just hope the lineup with him being a favorite isn't too good to be true. If he wins, I'll mark out so huge in Phoenix.

Batista was 36 when he won his first World Title.
Chris Benoit was 37 when he won his 'first' World Title at Wrestlemania 20.

I think it's gonna be either MVP or Matt Harvey, I don't think Christian has been back long enough to get a World Title shot. (ECW Title doesn't count)

Yeah, but Batista was main event material because he was in Evolution. Christians latest association has been Yoshi Tatsu.

And Vince loves Batista and doesn't love Christian.

Not to be credible, but I think it's the most likely way for him to get a title shot and get elevated, other than something involving Edge.

I would like to see Christian feud with CM Punk before getting a shot at the title. If Christian wins the MITB that would set it up perfectly too. C.M. Punk could play it from the angle of, "I won two years in a row!" and try to get him to put the brief-case up for grabs. It'd be neat.

I like it. Especially if Punk loses at Mania. Sets up some bitterness and jealousy.

Christian needs to win, jump to Smackdown, turn heel and feud with Edge over the World Heavyweight Championship.

There is no alternative.

Since Cole won't shut up about the MITB winner never losing in his title shot, it seems like this is the year it'll happen. For that reason I'll pick someone like Dolph Ziggler -- the MITB win will add credibility to his resume, but he's clearly a few steps away from being a legitimate candidate.

Plus I just really liked the match he had with Shelton a week or two ago on SmackDown. I like watching him work, it's just a shame they stuck him with that stupid name.
