Week five, PPVs then week six. Don't know why I keep forgetting to post it.

All from PWInsider.

It is the start of the second month of By the Numbers and it is a bit of an anomaly this week. Whether it was the final build for Wrestlemania and the fact that all four television shows were taped on Monday night, the times for the WWE matches dropped significantly while Impact had its best week for amount of wrestling. TNA also had its longest match since I started this column. Because of a college basketball tournament on HDNet, there was no new episode of Ring of Honor so they will not be considered in the totals for this week. Even with only four hours of programming, Ring of Honor still has a small advantage over Impact which has moved into second place in overall wrestling, one minute ahead of Smackdown. Once Wrestlemania is in the rear view mirror, will we see Smackdown return to the amount of wrestling they had before the Supershows and focus on video packages?

The wrestling times below cover the wrestling that takes place during the show so commercials are not included. All times are rounded to the closest minute (examples: a 4:23 match will be listed as 4 minutes while a 4:32 match will be listed as 5 minutes and anything under a minute is rounded up to a minute)

As I mentioned in tonight’s who knows how long Wrestlemania Audio, I was going to do a special By the Numbers column for Wrestlemania. Since the concept of By the Numbers is to compare the amount of wrestling in the different companies, as I was preparing the information for Wrestlemania, I figured that it would maintain the spirit of the concept by comparing the amount of wrestling on Wrestlemania to Total Nonstop Action Wrestling’s pay per view this month, Destination X.

One thing to consider is that Wrestlemania is a four hour pay per view while every other pay per view from WWE and TNA is only three hours long so this month will likely feature a very skewed comparison of the total wrestling on the shows, so the average per hour and per match will be a better barometer. Wrestlemania had twenty one more minutes of wrestling, but had an extra hour of broadcast time. As a result, the per hour totals were better for TNA. However, the average match length gave the advantage to Wrestlemania.

All times are rounded to the closest minute (examples: a 4:23 match will be listed as 4 minutes while a 4:32 match will be listed as 5 minutes and anything under a minute is rounded up to a minute)

Total Wrestling Time:
WWE: 113 Minutes in 10 Matches
TNA: 92 Minutes in 9 Matches

Randy Orton versus Cody Rhodes versus Ted DiBiase: 9 Minutes
Money in the Bank Ladder Match featuring Kane, Kofi Kingston, Jack Swagger, Matt Hardy, Shelton Benjamin, Christian, Evan Bourne, Montel Vontavious Porter, Drew McIntyre, and Dolph Ziggler: 14 Minutes
Triple H versus Sheamus: 12 Minutes

Bret Hart versus Vince McMahon: 11 Minutes
Edge versus Chris Jericho: 16 Minutes
Kelly Kelly, Mickie James, Beth Phoenix, Eve Torres, and Gail Kim versus Vickie Guerrero, Michelle McCool, Layla, Alicia Fox, and Maryse: 3 Minutes
John Cena versus Batista: 14 Minutes
Undertaker versus Shawn Michaels: 24 Minutes

TNA Destination X

Amazing Red versus Daniels versus Brian Kendrick versus Frankie Kazarian: 14 Minutes

In the six weeks that I have been doing this column, we have reached a minor milestone. The reason for writing this column was due to the lack of wrestling that I saw on Impact and I wanted to see how it compared to the WWE programs. When this started, Smackdown was the clear leader of the three major shows with Raw and Impact far behind. This week, Impact had more wrestling than Raw and Smackdown combined. Raw also continued to have more wrestling than Smackdown. It looks like Superstars is now the show to watch for wrestling if you are a WWE fan. This is also the first time that Impact did not have one of the shortest matches of the week. NXT and Superstars had the longest average match length of the shows this week. Impact now has a twenty minute lead over Smackdown for total wrestling while Ring of Honor had a second week without television.

The wrestling times below cover the wrestling that takes place during the show so commercials are not included. All times are rounded to the closest minute (examples: a 4:23 match will be listed as 4 minutes while a 4:32 match will be listed as 5 minutes and anything under a minute is rounded up to a minute)

Since ROH didn't have any televised shows, do they end up taking those 2 weeks off as a mini-break or just do the regular house shows?

Not as familiar with ROH shows and taping schedules as I am with the WWE/TNA.
