Prediction: Foley's new book is going to suck

NEW MICK FOLEY WRITING PROJECT

By Mike Johnson on 2010-05-17 09:39:14
Mick Foley, who's fourth memoir "Countdown to Lockdown" will be released this October, will be writing a comic book series for 12 Gauge Comics. We'll have more details on this shortly. Speaking of "Countdown to Lockdown", the plan is to use TNA's biggest PPV of the year, Bound for Glory, as a promotional platform for the book's release.
I used to read "Have a Nice Day" like some people read the Bible or the Koran. My hardcover copy is in shambles. I bought the sequel and loved it. I got Hardcore Diaries and...well...it was okay, I guess. Read some of his fiction and thought he had a decent voice...

I've hated everything he has done since coming to TNA...

My prediction is that this book will tarnish his writing legacy just like his matches with Abyss and Sting tarnished his in-ring legacy.

It's time to make TPWW MEAT again!

Quote:
Unlike traditional grills which cook food from a single, direct heat source, the Pit Barrel® Cooker’s cylindrical shape and “Hook-and-Hang” method places the food in the center of the action, heating the meat from all sides at once, producing consistently great-tasting, perfectly cooked meat every time.

Also have some popcorn.

JR mentioned in a blog post that it has very little to do with TNA's PPV and a lot to do with WWE vs TNA, the politics inside both companies and his experiences in TNA. Sounds good to me, but I will wait for some reviews first.

I have to agree though, "Have a nice day" was superb.

On Mick Foley's new book: Got an advance copy of Mick's newest book, release date TBD, entitled 'Countdown to Lockdown' and my friend Mick has penned another hit. I did not have the highest of expectations for this book considering what I perceived it to be about based on the title.
I was wrong.
Mick covers a variety of wrestling topics including his days as a WWE broadcaster including his honest and candid thoughts on the experience. Mick also shares more than one compelling conversation that he had with Vince McMahon during those days.
'Mrs. Foley's Baby Boy' is an amazingly gifted writer and is always brutally honest with his innermost feelings and opinions on a variety of topics. I have read this book twice this week and have no issues whatsoever in encouraging you to give it a shot when it is released. It will be around 300 pages and will be a paperback as I understand it.
Mick does this book in journal form which makes for a quick and fun read that I feel very confident that wrestling fans will enjoy.
I wish things had worked out for Mick at the announce table in ]WWE as I thought that we could have evolved into a great team had we the opportunity to work together longer. Nonetheless we certainly had our 'moments' on air and and our share of laughs.
However, with today's emphasis on 'look' over talent the two of us may have been bound for radio before all would have eventually been said and done.

Ya that's the one. Guess its more WWE than TNA, I just hope he doesn't bash WWE in this. He is not really the sort of guy that does this, but Vince has given him pretty hard times.
