What if #3 Vince McMahon Sr sells to his 3 partners instead of Vince Jr?

In 1982 Vince McMahon Sr sold the WWF to his son Vincent Kennedy McMahon with one stipulation: if Vince missed even just one of his quarterly payments, the company would go to Vince Sr's three business partners: Gorilla Monsoon, Phil Zacko and Arnold Skaaland.

What if Vince missed a payment and the company went back into the hands of the three mentioned?
What would become of Vince jr?
Would wrestling still be territorial?
Who would be #1?

Discuss.

If Vince Jr. had missed a single payment after a good record of payment, he might have been exempted for a while. However, Vince Jr.'s smartest move at that time was to get Monsoon on his side. Now I don't know how close they were professionally, but I am led to believe it might have been those 2 on the same side if at all the other 2 decided to challenge their authority.

tough question to answer because I don't really know the business minds of the other 3. So it's hard to say what thier visions would of been. I think Vince Sr made the right call though

Joey Marella Jr. would have been pushed to the moon and won multiple WWF Championships....though seriously I think Vince would have ended up with the company eventually. The other 3 mentioned I feel would have eventually failed and Vince would have picked up the pieces and picked apart the territories.

There would be actual wrestling, not sports entertainment.

We would probably have the territorial system alive and well today. Those three were very old school (or so i've heard). Vince may have tried to by into another organization and tried to go global with it, but I dont think he would have had the resources he had in WWF. I also dont think his 'vision' would have worked in southern territories or in the AWA, so he would have been limited to a few northern territories, most of whom were probably loyal to McMahon Sr. I think in the long run, we would have better wrestling, but the industry would not be as big as it is today.

Just an oppinion.

WWE would still be old school and still kayfabed and wrestlers can work anywhere and not stick to one promotion. Vince would still be an announcer though me thinks. Joey Marella equals senior ref.

Wrestling would of fell on its ass and died real quick if it were kept a territorial system. There is no possible way it would still be territorial today. If Vince didn't do it, somebody else would have. Just think about it. Look at all the advancements in technology since the 80's. If you didn't go National, you would of never survived
