WWE TV Title?
With the idea of merging the titles and the possibility of ending either the IC or US title, I feel that WWE will still need another secondary title. IF they are going to merge the IC and US titles, why not create a Television Championship. Original WCW had it, ROH has one, TNA has one, but WWE has never had one. It could possibly make for good TV if they did and give the midcard something to do...

I think the IC & US Titles will remain separate, giving the second tier guys of each show something to fight for...... but I could be wrong....

WWE should invent an INTERNET Title. Defended in Internet Exclusive matches. It will be held by Daniel Bryan at all times, and Michael Cole will just be doing this: throughout the entire match.

It would make absolutely no sense to unify the IC and US titles and then introduce a title that is more or less the same thing.
If they wanted 2 midcard titles they'd just leave the IC and US, which may or may not happen.

Hey I welcome any posts at this point that don't involve Adam Evans or Matt Hardy. So anyways I agree with what you said if they are unifying the undercard titles. European,TV,Lightweight,Fly Weight, none of them matter.

I wouldn't mind a TV Title being introduced if it went between both shows while the US and IC Titles remained separate. Seeing The Miz, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan or John Morrison with the TV Title to get them more exposure would be brilliant.

Some of the reasons are ridiculous. The belt being defended on both brands, or every week is nothing that couldn't be done with the IC or US belt.
Just admit you are marks for new title belts, guys.

If WWE made perfect use of the titles they already have, then yeah. But they dont. And it isnt a 'specialist' title like the Cruiserweight or Hardcore, it would just be a crappier IC belt like the European.

Long time reader, first time poster
Hi guys, been watchin these forums for a long time now but just wanted to throw my 2 cents in, personally i think the IC title has so much history in the WWE(F) it shouldnt be removed at all, the US Title to me is kind of meh, but i think with the vast number of wrestlers the WWE employs over the whole board, it would be nice to see a TV Title as long as it was defended on each TV Show, Raw, Smackdown, NXT (obviously not against the divas but maybe a pro or just a local jobber), the lot. How great would it be to see a talented worker such as John Morrison or The Miz for example aplying his craft each show putting on top matches with people they wouldnt usually get a foot in.

I like the idea of having a belt defended every week but it doesn't NEED to be a TV Title. Daniel Bryan as US Champ could pull this off easily (or someone like Kaval with the IC strap).

I'm definitely interested to see if the M$ Championship gets activated and then feuded over as some sort of "dual-brand" title, or whether it's just a temporary storyline to help Ted or Goldust get some product or something pushed in the near future. Right now, I'm kind of leaning towards the latter. Not that the title means anything really, just that it's interesting to see it become sort of the "focal point" of what could be a great feud.

I think WWE should unify all of the belts and have the champions float from show to show as they please. It would be a way to make a "star" due to double exposure.

Undisputed WWE Championship
Undisputed WWE Intercontinental Championship
Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship
Undisputed WWE Diva's Championship

That is really enough right there, a TV title really had no place in WWE. If WWE were to add any division I'd hope for a Cruiserweight Division that was treated with respect and not featured mostly on the C show.

Hmmmmmmmmmm. You'd then end up in a situation where the World Title is "tied" to one show whilst the champ is fueding there. Would you then have the IC Title fued be on the other show? Would that be enough to interest up on that other show?

Not a fan of the idea of a WWE TV title... While WCW had a great US title scene, I doubt WWE could emulate that. I'd also like to see the WWE and WHC remain different. I wasn't a fan of when Brock Lesnar had the WWE title and stayed exclusive to SmackDown. It just seemed... odd to watch Raw and the only title was the IC championship.

Moving onto the IC title, along with the US title, they should be kept seperate. It'll give each show a midcard title to shoot for. Let's face it, a guy like Dolph Ziggler isn't going to get near the main event any time soon, along with Kofi Kingston. So give them a strap they can carry. Same goes for Danielson, Tatsu, Goldust, and others. The mid card title makes things more complex, and it works.

Keep one female title and one tag team title for the time being. With the women's and tag team scene there is not enough for brand titles.

But let's now talk about adding a title. I'd be happy seeing the Hardcore title, as long as it's kept light hearted for the pg rating. Santino can be the new Crash Holly. If they want a more "hardcore" match, save it for the ppv.

GOD DAMNIT I hate to agree with this guy. First time ever.

I know 95% of people think there are too many belts. Probably true too. But I think the bigger problem is too many wrestlers with no real reason to be there. If you aren't fighting for a title, be it Heavyweight, US/IC, or the Tag Belts.

So many guys on the roster have nothing to fight for.

If someone could write better TV, all the belts could matter again. Wishful thinking, I know.

People may not agree with this, but I think they should merge the IC and US title and make them a TV title.

With the way the World Heavyweight Championship and World Title have been booked lately wouldn't it make sense?

I mean especially after seeing Sheamus destroy Daniel Bryan, the US champion.

Ideal for Punk. He has the look to pull off such a character, and a character who just wants to mess up the organization for no other reason than for his own enjoyment sounds fresh given the influence.
