You totally let that Vega mirror match go. At least you beat Sakura. A rusty, slower, out of rhythm Sakura, but you beat her.

I'd love to give a full recap but I'd need to see the replays (didn't have my notebook).

- Best of 9 (Nine). FIVE OUT OF NINE

- You can only pick the same character twice.

TIPS:

- Clean up your connection. Do what you can, at least. Stop downloading porn/movies/whatever. Tell your MOM to get off the computer, you're playing in a fighting video game tournament for an internet wrestling message board. As long as Hasney isn't using his tethered iphone for a connection, we should be okay,

- Save replays. Please. After the entire round, obv. Don't play a match and go save and play a match and go save. That's dumb. And label them properly.

- Take a breather between matches. It helps.

The first tournament ran from 7/4 to 10/21.

I started this thread April 20th. The tourney started June 25th.

That's just it. The game isn't new anymore, so we're getting a lot better and the brackets are more even now. Think about when this first came out: I sucked horribly with anyone but T. Hawk. A few of us would go on Win streaks for a bit there. Then as time passed our skills built up from constant battle and those of us who weren't so great to start are now catching up and those of us who dominated aren't doing it as easily.

Can't get decent at any fighter if you're only putting in time during the 'hype' period. Fighting games are the last type of games to do that with.

I don't care if I'm better now, I'm really busy and only have time to play certain things. Me being decent at SSFIV doesn't overcome me wanting to play something else. I'm not playing in some professional tourney, I'm playing with a bunch of people just for kicks. Just because its logical we should play more because we are better doesn't mean that we actually will.
