The Steiner Brothers

It is interesting the things that WWE chooses not to promote as influential or game changing, one instance that comes to mind is Wrestlemana 12, The Hollywood Backlot Brawl with Roddy Piper and Goldust. We had never seen anything remotely that controversial on WWE before, still to this day a disturbing stiff confrontation and one of the most memorable Wrestlemania moments of all time.

Another example of this is the lack of respect and homage shown to the Steiner Brothers for their contribution to tag team wrestling. In particular Scott Steiner was the first person I ever saw do a hurricanrana, of course his was called The Frankensteiner. They were Japanese style in the ring but with the All-American gimmick. And they were incredibly over especially in WCW/NWA and constantly put on amazing matches.

Together I think they deserve a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame. I think without the Steiner Brother's a lot of stars may have never been who they were.

I do not understand why they seem to be forgotten when people talk of the greatest tag teams of all time. In their prime, there is no other team I'd rather watch.

Jakob Synn does not have that much rep yet (10+)
I think sometimes it's not because they forget or don't want to aknowledge a certain wrestler, but would rather save inducting that wrestler for another year. I mean if they induct all the greats in one year, then who is gonna tune in for next years Hall of Fame.

1st match i remember seeing was a Steiner Brothers tag match, think they hit every spot they did on 2 jobbers and destroyed them. They'd be definate hall of famers if Scott wasnt quite so blunt with his comments i guess.

I liked The Steiners as a tag team. I liked their Doomsday DDT and Doomsday Bulldog. They were impressive.

I also liked the Steiner Screwdriver that Scott used.

Vince didn't like them so much because he didn't create them. They were made in Japan and in NWA/WCW. This is the exact same problem the Road Warriors will have to get a half post-humus entry into the WWE Hall of Fame as a tag team.

I think them in the Hall of Fame could be a no-brainer for Atlanta at Wrestlemania 27 this year. Though Scott becoming a success on his own may have a part in why the tag team isn't as celebrated now. Everybody remembers the Steiner Brothers for late WCW, fight against the nWo, Scott's betrayal and reuniting in TNA. It's been a long time since they were the dominant tag team they were in the 80s and early 90s.

It's amazing that quiet, long haired, good ol' American boy Scott Steiner turned into "Big Poppa Pump". Wrestling is awesome.
