Is This the Greatest Stretch of MMA Ever?
This weekend we have Diaz v. Santos. Nick is always exciting and Jacare is defending his title against Robbie Lawler. We also can't forget the freak show/ train wreck that is Herschel Walker. I'm intrigued.

Next weekend we get Silva v. Belfort.

The weekend after that we get Fedor.

Then there's a Strikeforce Challengers card featuring Fancypants Beerbohm. He's exciting even though most people don't know him... Okay so a Challenger's card is a bit of a let down after the first three events...

But then the next week we get Penn; Sotiropolous; Bisping and Condit.

I think Diaz is entertaining, in and out of the cage.

Would be great if they could bring him back into the UFC. The shite talking alone would be worth it.

Nick actually has decent takedown defense nowadays. If he can keep improving, he'd be a force at 170 in the ufc. He'd just need to pull his head out of his ass.

I'm pretty sure that has to do more with the fact that Shields and his brother also fight at Welterweight in the UFC more than him being afraid of GSP.

One of the first fights that got me into UFC again was Diaz/Lawler when he was the underdog and taunted the hell out of Lawler and ko'd him.

You realize training partners refuse to fight all the time, so it would make little difference. So I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with Shields and his brother. Besides he wouldn't even beat Josh Koschek.

True enough, but I've read it a couple times in the last 2 months. Diaz is a good fighter, and a draw so if Diaz was willing to play ball I don't see why he wouldn't sign him.

The next Fedor fight will probably be a fight that will make him or break him for the future.
If Fedor wins, he gets some credebility back and gets a REAL challenge to prove that he is really as good as people say he is. If Fedor loses, then he might as well retire on the spot. I think he will probably win but I know for sure that Fedor wouldnt get past Overeem. So I see some possible controversy that will allow Fedor to lose but not lose to Silva. Fedor doesnt want to face Overeem because his credibility and Myth will be crushed. Werdum put the first crack in his image and if he beats Silva and faces Overeem, it will be exposed forever! IMO

Not really. Nick fights at Welterweight and is the current Strikeforce champion. According to his manager Caesar Gracie, the Strikeforce deal pays him double.

Let's not forget that Jake fights GSP in April so Nick had a choice... sign with the UFC and play second fiddle to Shields assuming he believes in his teammates ability to be champion. Or sign and end up keeping his brother from attaining a top spot. Or stay with Strikeforce and be the company's biggest draw.

I don't know why I even bothered considering your first post was "Nobody cares about Nick Diaz, other than maybe Nick Diaz." and then after no one jumped on the bandwagon became "Diaz is a good fighter, and a draw..."

I said nobody cared, I didn't say he wasn't a good fighter. But your reasoning is still bullshit. There are no fights at welterweight in Strikeforce for Nick Diaz, in fact he's fighting a guy who doesn't even crack the top 25 on most MMA rankings. And who has Nick Diaz even beaten since leaving the UFC, minus his win over Gomi? Why sell yourself short for the benefit of others, even your brother. That's just an excuse. He doesn't have to fight his brother, or take his spot his brother isn't even remotely in title contention in the WW division at this point in time. Truth is there are way more fights for Nick in the UFC, and much stiffer competetion, and he just seems content at staying where he is.

If you think he's paid better in Strikeforce that's one thing, but saying he wont fight in the UFC because of his brother and Shields is just retarded, still.

Oh, and on the note of how much he's making in Strikeforce, in a recent interview he made remarks along the lines of he wants more money, and to take fights where the moneys at, and talked of moving to MW to do it because there were no big money fights at WW in strikeforce.

You're contradicting yourself. You can't say nobody cares about Nick Diaz in one post and then say he's a draw in another. As far as Nick's reasoning for not going to the UFC, here's what his MANAGER had to say. Whether you choose to believe it or not is up to you, but the explanation is plausible and far from "retarded" as you'd put it.

Ok, I never disputed whether or not it was said, I'm saying it is a retarded excuse, and just that, an excuse. It's MMA, it's a combat sport, you mean to tell me he isn't even willing to compete in the same organization as Shields and Nate? Then why is he in MMA. Theres only one other fighter in Strikeforce at WW whos in the top 25. There aren't fights, and the facts are there are plenty of fights and oppertunities avabiable in the UFC without ever crossing paths with Sheilds or Nate.

Oh and I should have been more specific and said I didn't care instead of everybody, and then you wouldn't keep trying to make the same ridiculous point.
