I don't know. I downloaded the video and I'm watching it over and over and I don't think he was "clearly" out. He got a little stunned and surprised by the right hand of Hendo as he was on his back which allowed Hendo to put him on his stomach. It doesn't look like Fedor couldn't defend but that he didn't even had a chance to defend since Fedor's right arm was pinned under him and Herb called it the moment Fedor hit the ground. If you pay close attention and slow it down you can see Fedor turning over right as Herb stopped it. Herb didn't touch Hendo yet and he kept on punching. I can see how Herb Dean made the call but I still think he jumped the gun.

I feel like Fedor was not knocked out and was trying to defend himself but Hendo was in a good position and situation and could have landed some good ones right after Fedor turned over though.

I would like to point out one thing, not to take shit away from Hendo who beasted Fedor BUT Dan Henderson is another guy who takes testosterone replacement therapy. I know it's common knowledge that Hendo does this and at his age he probably needs it, but I can't help but wonder if Fedor's last two fights would have gone differently if he was taking TRT too or if this fight would have gone differently if Henderson wasn't taking it.

The UFC needs to take a definitive stance about the use of this in MMA in my opinion.

So he's not producing much of this hormone naturally or he's just doing it to compete at a high level for his age?

Once guys get in their 40s, their bodies don't produce as much of the hormone so the TRT helps them stay at normal levels so they can compete at this high a level with younger guys.

Next big thing - TRT is a bullshit excuse for a lot of people, what exactly is an average testosterone level? Where was his at? Its an excuse.

He did win the fight and I hope there is some form of a rematch between the two - because I wanted to see it go on, would have been electrifying.

I'm curious what people would say if the match wasn't stopped, and Fedor ended up winning?

I'm not saying it was questionable, I'm just wondering if the fight had continued, if you'd end up with a flood of fans who would argue that it should have been stopped. If Fedor would have recovered before Dean stopped the fight, I don't think the fans would bitch as much, I think they'd just call it "close."

Anyway, I really don't see a problem with the stoppage, especially since the refs have to keep the best interest of the fighters in mind, and protecting the fighter's health is way more important than a win.

nah.... i walked by shonnie carter who looked like a cartoon but i didnt notice any fighters walking around... there wernt even that many in attendance. I saw king mo, geroge gurgel, cung lee, scott coker, matt hughes, greg jackson, frank shamrock (who is so orange its gross) and a couple others that im forgetting but i didnt meet anyone
