Has wrestling ever...
Made you break down and cry in front of friends..... a friend of mine pulled out youtube clips of owen's death while I was drinking tonight and I absolutely broke down. I went back to when I was 10 yrs old and rooting for owen/shawn michaels to win every match they were involved in and I couldn't hold back the tears. Not sure of what purpose this serves but I can't be the only one that's done this .... discuss/make me feel better.

I'll admit that when I first heard that the Benoit thing was a murder suicide I broke down and when Eddie died I got teary eyed but don't think I've ever had a moment where I've seen something after the fact and cried about it though

Never to the point of breaking down and crying, teary eyed when people died though.

Damn right Juan. For me, the most teary eyed boo-hoo, I should be watching lifetime movies moment was..........Kane coming to the WWF as the undertaker's long lost half brother. So heartwarming! Nah mean?!

Nope. Even at the deaths I never cried, was more shocked. The tribute videos WWE made for them were pretty sad, but never actually got teary eyed.

The Benoit/Guerrero Wrestlemania 20 moment made me teary eyed... not all-out 'crying' though. Same for both of their deaths.

Uh, no.
I think the closest I ever got to crying over something wrestling related was probably the Benoit/Eddie moment at WM20, as I'd been following both of their careers since their days in ECW and it was a moment that I truly thought could never possibly happen. I also idolized both men as they are around my size (height wise), and growing up wanting to be a pro wrestler, all my family ever told me was that I wasn't tall enough. But even then I didn't actually cry. All of the deaths were more shocking than tearful. |

Same, I have never cried at a wrestling moment. I kinda got "emotional" when I saw this again awhile back
This was such a great time in WWE |

I cried during RAW IS OWEN. That shit was sad, and he was one of my favorites. I was watching that alone, though.
Surprisingly though, I got teary-eyed during the Ric Flair/HBK match at Wrestlemania 24. What a beautifully told story. I surprised myself, because I'm not even a huge Ric Flair fan, and I never really was. |

It was definitely more of a teary eyed thing then a breakdown looking back. I think the fact that I was half a case of beer deep at the time did not help matters.

I think the most I honestly really cried in wrestling wasn't necessarily Eddie, but Chris Benoit's reaction to the fact that Eddie had passed is what got be teary eyed. During the ten bell salute, he was the one that was the most upset and you could tell. Then when they did the reaction segments after matches, Benoits was hard to watch where he just starts breaking down.

wrestling moments have never made me burst out or anything (in public or private). But I get moved at certain moments like the Owen show and Eddie show.
But more importantly, when I see how emotional some of the big guys get its me. They are the biggest people on the planet, and they are just as human as anyone. |

No, but I am not a pussy.
Serious Answer: No, but I get the Raw is Owen things, as it was fresh, sad, and was literally the first time many fans dealt with something like that. Anyone who DIDNT feel something was a prick or sociopath. But not to be a dick, but come on, you broke down crying (your words) at a 12 year old video. In front of people. That is embarassing. |

When the Horseman were in the ring for the first time since 88, that was awesome. I grew up on them, and Tully was my favorite. To see him, JJ, Arn and Ric together was amazing. I was moved, not to tears, but it was close.

I got misty/teary and emotional when learning of the deaths and watching the Owen, Eddie and Benoit (originally) tribute videos/episodes.
But considering I didn't actually know any of them personally, no, I've never actually broken down and cried like a bitch about anything in wrestling. Although tbf, kudos for being able to admit that you have. |

No but did get a few misty eyes or felt a bit depressed from some of the wrestler deaths such as Owen, Eddie, and Macho Man.
Also get misty eyes when the WWE does a great tribute package for a recently retired or passed away wrestler and when the wrestler them self starts tearing up like HBK's final retirement or Edge's retirement speech. |

There are no 'clips of Owen's Hart death' this thread is moot. My reaction to nearly all wrestling related emotion stuff (sad or happy) is to get goosebumps.
I got a little teary eyed when John Cena was talking to Roddy Piper the week before Survivor Series. Cena actually said something about being a lifetime fan that got me. Then he shit all over it by not even leaving after he was 'fired.' |
