Could they successfully turn The Undertaker heel?
This isn't a matter of if they SHOULD, but do you think they COULD successfully turn The Undertaker for his next WrestleMania match? Or has his matches at this point transcended the need for heels and faces?

And if they were going to turn The Undertaker, how would you like to see it happen? Keep in mind that Taker's current limitations would be in effect and he couldn't magically wrestle a full-time schedule.

I could think of some crappy ways to do it that would turn the fans against him, but doing so while keeping to a level of quality might be tough. Taker could come out and choke-slam and Tombstone every face in the company and the fans would still cheer.

You could maybe come out under his real name and just talk about how he has been pretending to be this character for so long and that he has secretly hated it all this time. Now he wants to be a popstar. He hires his ex-wife to become his new manager and she tells Booker he can't wrestle at Mania for fear he'll injure his throat.

At this point, probably not considering it would all lead up to the Mania match.

If he wins as a heel, the crowd is still going to cheer and be in awe over his streak. If he lost then its a huge shock but not because he was a heel for the match.

HBK was affected the same way considering his last run always had him as a face even if he did heelish-type actions once in a while. For example he tried to play a heel leading up to his last match vs Taker but people still cheered him. He even superkicked a little girl on RAW during a skit and people cheered in the end.

You could turn the Undertaker heel, yes.

He'd still be cheered by a loyal fan base no matter what, but for all intents and purposes, you could turn him. I'm not sure I'd like to see it happen at all, but if I were to turn him, I'd have him beat the shit out of Jerry Lawler.

I must be in the minority. I don't believe 'Taker can truly go heel anymore. He's crossed that "legend threshold". He'll get a face reaction no matter what. Just like Flair. Just like Piper.

If WWE really, truly, wanted to turn someone heel, they could do it no matter who it is.

WWE can take the most popular guy and have him get booed just like that, if they really, truly, 100% decide to do so.

He would need to drop the Deadman gimmick, and then "shoot" on it. Pissing all over it, and the fans, for buying into that garbage for so many years. He would then refuse to fight anybody at Mania because he is done "being that phony" and there was "no challenge".

Eventually someone would get him to accept a match, or he would be "forced" into one by an Authority Figure/Board of Directors.
