Would any of you be interested in casually playing World of Warcraft?
I played this game for awhile a few years ago and never went back fully due to simply not having the time to keep a job, a relationship and the pace the clan I was in had.

I don't think I ever actually fully enjoyed the game due to that, when I first started playing I believe The Burning Crusade had just been released and everyone seemingly was gone off through the portal. The few people I played with were levels ahead the next time I signed in and unwilling to redo something to help me finish my quests.

I have never faced Onyxia, I have never faced Illidan, I have never done a single raid...ever.

The game has always been confusing to me as to why so many people enjoy it when it is a dreadfully boring and tedious game.

Then looking at my copies of WoW, BC and WotLK I thought the entire time I played them all I seemed to be doing is trying to hit level cap and grind for gear. I never actually had time to actually enjoy the game as it seemed like a chore/second job.

So what I thought is to ask here since I know a fair few of you and several of you have been to end game fights. What id be looking for is a group of people who will all roll characters with me and play every so often. Go at our own pace and enjoy while sending gear and such to each other as needed and eventually hit the level cap.

Anyone interested at all?

Since playing DC Universe Online, I've been wanting to find another MMO that was awesome. I'd like to consider this but it is fair to warn you, I have never EVER played WoW.

Maybe if it was free... But to casually pay £8 a month is kinda a no go for me.

I was in a guild that did end-game content the same week new x-pacs released.

Thing is, with "casual" WoW, it will be boring just as quick as if you were raiding.

Causual will basically consist of : Dungeon Finder (if you actually want lewts worth having) battlegrounds (which become boring after about a week: subjective). Outside of doing Heroics and battlegounds, there is nothing for the "casual" player to truly play.

Fair warning, playing casually generally turns into raiding, and LFR (looking for raid) is fail due to pugs

Don't bother. The only "fun" thing in the game now is the story/zones/music while leveling 85-90 in MoP, game still gets boring instantly at max level.

This game is terrrrrrible and having known you for a long time now I can tell you that if you started playing it you would get into it hardcore for a couple months and then you would start saying how terrible it was again and you would remember all the reasons you stopped playing in the first place.

Also, Old Republic is terribad. There's a reason it was bleeding so many subscribers that it had to go f2p and had to introduce a cash shop to try and reinvigorate its player base and still make money, because they certainly weren't going to do it the other way. MMO makers of today just don't "get it". They don't understand the staying power of a GOOD MMO, and they don't understand that WoW clones aren't going to cut it when there's already a better WoW-style game out - World of Warcraft. They want big flashy names like 'Star Wars' that they can slap onto a game and profit instantly with. No plans for the long term, and nothing to keep players invested in a game for the long haul. They're happier making cookie cutters instead of innovating in a genre that has proved for the past 10 years that unless you make something unique, it will disappear in a flurry of hype, fan-rage, and ultimately disappointment.

I haven't played in over 3 years. Ol' lady pretty much made me choose between family and WoW. I had a few level 80's. I had a Blood Elf Paladin Tank/Heal specced with full sets of epic armor for both. I had an orc warlock named Bigpoppapump too. And a death knight. Those were my 3 main characters. I had a low level priest too. I've considered playing, but she'd kill me. Plus with 12 hour swing shifts, it would be hard to play on any kind of schedule.
