batgirl is ridiculously overpowered and cheap.... i beating guys onlike with awesome records spamming her shit. The only people i have trouble with are grundy and doomsday cuz they have the stoneskin trait.

I have this game until sunday. I am not that great at it. I am alright with a couple characters. Mostly nightwing. I played some online and got a few good matches where I was winning a couple and losing a couple. But then I played some asshole who picked batman, and literally all he did was spam a fuckton of combos that I couldn't do shit against. Like it was just attack after attack, ranged, juggling me, etc.. just didn't stop from start to finish. I'd get up and would immediately be juggled and had no way of doing ANYTHING. Wanted to send that guy a message that told him to fuck off but I didn't.

I mean seriously, it was just ridiculous. I wouldn't even find it fun being that good because it just didn't stop. It would be too much to remember all the stupid combos like he did.

Yeah, I get that. I'm not saying I was surprised or anything. Doesn't mean it wasn't fucking stupid. Just way more than I am willing to dedicate to being good at a game. I couldn't imagine a single fighting game being fun enough to play like 4000+ fights.

Actually, I was a pretty big fan of the Soul Calibur series. Not that I was any good at it, but it was pretty quality and had long-term replayability. The creating custom characters was pretty much a must-have for a fighting game to be worth playing long-term for me. Last one I played was SC IV though.

Yeah, I like some fighting games but I get bored with them pretty quick. Don't plan on buying this since I watched the story already, unless a complete version comes out with all the DLC's... I'd get that for 30 bucks for the sake of liking some DC characters.

I hate the idea of more Batman characters in this since there is already so many, but the Riddler being in this just seems awesome to me.

A lot of good ideas in there, especially Starfire and Black Canary.

The idea of Giganta is cool, but I'm not sure how that would work considering how huge she is as the background character in the Hall of Justice stage and then bringing that in to be an individual fighter.

Just found Zatanna's voice actress is none other than Lacey Chabert who played Gretchen one of the plastics in Mean Girls. I mistook her voice for Tara Strong who has the same screams and moans when you combo her ass to the ground..

And her kiss of flame reminded me so much of Sonya from MK and a bit of Dhalsim-ish magic trick.

I can see that.

2013 wasn't exactly a big year for fighters. There was Injustice, DOA5U, Killer Instinct, and Divekick.

Divekick is a joke, and DOA is just an update to a 2012 game. As for Killer Instinct, I haven't played it to judge yet, but even if it's gameplay is a little better, it's extreme lack of content at this juncture will bring it down a few pegs in a lot of people's eyes.

The one thing that's always held back MK games the most is that the characters aren't as unique and different from one another as they are in games like Street Fighter, KoF, and Tekken. Especially in Arc Systems games.

But Injustice shows some improvement in that area. There are more characters that feel vastly different from the others than in any other Ed Boon game. And I'm not just talking about the big dudes.

They still have a ways to go to catch up to the big dogs in terms of depth, but it's improving with each iteration. MK wasn't at EVO for nothing.

The biggest point is that this game is just FUN. Especially if you're a comic fan. That's why so many casual fans and even quite a few hardcore fighting game fans like it. If you just relax, and don't try to compare it to the street fighters and tekkens and just take it for what it is, you will have a blast.

And that's why people would be willing to elect Injustice FGotY
