I understand your viewpoint that by hollowly labeling everyone a racist, it diminishes the meaning of the word. That being said, have you considered that the term "racist" isn't too generalized/vague, and that there are just a lot of really damn racist people in the world? Just because we're more desensitized to bigotry doesn't mean it's acceptable.

Anyway, slow-work-week-trolling aside, anyone here a Bills fan? Being that I unfortunately live closer to Buffalo than Detroit now, I've been toying with the idea of attending a few Bills games this season. Maybe the ones in TO, or actually going to Buffalo itself. How's the stadium there? Anybody go to a game? We could meet up and get wastey and make fun of Ryan Fitzpatrick or w/e the fuck is throwing interceptions for the Bills these days

I heard EJ Manuel looks pretty good in training camp. Might pick him up as my #2 QB this year.

True, but to a certain extent "in vino veritas." I'm sure there are plenty of people who get drunk and don't suddenly feel emboldened enough to start throwing out racial slurs. The whole "I was drunk" argument can be just as weak and overused as people claiming racism in situations where it doesn't exist.

I don't think Riley Cooper is a card carrying KKK member, but I don't blame people for raising their eyebrows at this or keeping him at arms length.

I have the unfortunate honour of having Stevie Johnson as one of my keepers in my dynasty league (we get 2 per year, can't be anyone drafted in rds 1 or 2), and I have absolutely no faith that I'm better off with him than I am with, say, Lance Moore. How's the Bills' offense supposed to look this year? I'm assuming Manuel will have to keep things reeled in pretty close and it's gonna be the Spiller show for the first half of the season or so.

Aren't they going up tempo no huddle? I like EJ because I think he can potentially have a poor man's Cam Newton type of season.

I honestly have no idea. I still have it in my head that Chan Gailey and/or Dick Jauron is still the head coach and that the words "up" and "tempo" don't exist in either of their vernacular.

I actually think the Jets can be better than people think if they straighten up the QB situation. Not AFC championship good, but competitive and entertaining.

I'm partly biased and everything but as I look at the numbers I still don't see how Sapp got in ahead of Strahan. Both are clear HOFers but I figured Strahan was a slam dunk first ballot guy. Kinda think some writers still hold it against Strahan that he touts his single season sack record when Favre basically gave it to him.

Ah well. He'll likely go in next year and will get to appear with the rest of the 2014 class before the SB in the Giants' home stadium. Would be a cool moment.

The Bengals are on Hard Knocks. I should love this, but I hate it. I hate the way the Browns run the team, and their classlessness shined through last time the Bengals were on the show. I hope Mike Brown is smart enough to have people around him to tell him to work on his shit image.
