I Don't think Jon Gruden would come out of retirement to work with a nutcase like Jerry Jones.

Seems pretty happy doing MNF and college football stuff.

Eli has openly praised Gilbride's system along with Coughlin. If the Giants hadn't won a second Super Bowl under Coughlin, I could see Mara or Tisch stepping in as they did when Bill Sheridan got fired. But after 2 Super Bowls I think they're giving Coughlin full autonomy with his coaching staff.

Coughlin isn't on the hot seat 2 years removed from a Super Bowl and like it or not Eli will be their QB for another 4 or 5 years probably. Management will keep the coaches those guys are happiest with.

NFL ended up fining Terence Garvin $25,000 for the hit he gave to Kevin Huber that resulted in a broken jaw and cracked vertebra for Huber.

NFL also suspended Seahawks Brandon Browner indefinitely after his appeal for the current 1-year suspension was rejected.

According to ESPN, both the Cowboys and Raiders are rumored to be rehauling their entire coaching staffs with the Cowboys coaches already under the assumption they are all getting fired if they miss the playoffs.

If he didn't play, it was mostly just to hand the ball off in a blowout though so it's not like it was cutting into his chances to extend the record. Cassel only threw 7 passes all year.

I wonder if Philly is gonna rest their starters tonight now. It's a "meaningless" game in a way but then again, a win means they're the 3rd seed if they win the division and a loss means their the 4th seed. That could be the difference between having to play in Seattle on a weeks rest and avoiding them.
