How I think the Shane vs Undertaker match will go down.
So yeah, it will basicly go like this.. Undertaker is beating the crap out of Shane, but Shane keeps getting up, and fighting back, Taker and Shane fight ontop of the cell, and Shane is launched off it landing through the announcer table. and breaking it. with the fans chanting OMG. and Holy shit..

Vince is begging his son not to carry on, mean while Shane is still out cold as Taker picks him up drags him into the ring, but somehow again Shane climbs the cell once more, and Taker choke slams him through the cell.....


Yes I think they're going to go the Hell In a Cell match in 1998 route as they did

Shane will do something incredibly stupid during the match to remind everyone of how insane he is. My bet is he does go off the cage. They better have Mauro Ranallo calling that moment, because Michael Cole won't do it justice.

I really have no idea how this whole thing is going to pay out without throwing any kind of sense and reason out the window. It'll probably keep me watching though and really that's the point.

My thoughts exactly.... I don't see how/why Undertaker would fight for Vince, or how Vince could manipulate Taker into representing him.... I'll be watching to see how it plays out for sure, and like the majority of WWE storylines, we'll all complain about "what could have been" when its all said and done.....

Yea, I'm really clueless when it comes to the booking of this match, and I'm also curious to see what Taker has to say. Don't see him (in character) being ok with this.
I know it won't happen, but imagine a Ministry with Taker and Shane at the helm. They could take on the Authority, I've seen mentions of the idea of a brand split, maybe with Shane running one show and HHH/Authority the other. All I can say is, they're being unpredictable for once.

I can see him going off the cell through a table, but I think the bump through the cell and into the ring just leaves too many variables for things to go wrong. I say this with no professional training though.

I finally got around to watching the Shane/Vince/Steph segment from RAW. After reading and hearing people talk about it, I got the impression that Shane had to win the match against Taker to get control of the WWE. Vince actually said that he'll give Shane what he wants (control of RAW -- not WWE) as long as he has one match. Was it mentioned anywhere else on the show that he has to win?

My bet is that Shane just gets tossed around like a Christ figure for our sins, gets beaten and Taker wins the match.

I can see them doing another brand split, and my guess is that Shane either sticks around part-time as figurehead, or after he's put on a show for his kids and done a favor to the company, he appoints Daniel Bryan the General Manager of RAW and rides off into the sunset.

As far as commentary goes: I could see Mauro Ranallo having a WrestleMania presence. Maybe they bump Byron Saxton from the RAW commentary team as a trial and have Michael Cole, Mauro Ranallo and JBL serve as the RAW/PPV team? They might trial them in the coming weeks or even at the Toronto Network special to see if there's chemistry.

Ranallo is so good at play-by-play, but my first impression of him was that he doesn't encapsulate "moments" as well as Jim Ross possibly could. No one has. If you're going to use a three-man team (which I'm not a fan of), then Mauro as the play-by-play, a heel color guy and a further babyface "storyteller" could be the best combo. Mauro & Jim Ross would be great, but I think that's probably not on the agenda, so Mauro & Cole works out fine. Better than Mauro & Saxton would anyway -- it's a tough spot Saxton's in.

Let Byron stay on with Heel King on SmackDown and develop his play-by-play/storyteller chops. Maybe in the future he can slip into babyface soundbyte guy on RAW when Michael Cole becomes Executive Vice President of Communications or some shit.

If the Saxton/King team doesn't work out, you can add Rich Brennan, Tom Phillips or Michael Cole to it -- depending on who you feel like featuring at the time.

But we've gotta remember that was 15 years ago. He's an older man than he was then and, if he has any sense, won't be willing to take the same bumps he once would.

If I thought there was a chance of him taking the big bumps then this booking would make sense. But at the moment I can't see how it works. This means either the match will be changed in the run up to the event, or they've just booked themselves into a poor match. Either is possible.

True, but he also did the same spot v. Kane in another Last Man Standing match @ Unforgiven '03, and that was some 2 1/2 years later. This also isn't his first HiaC match, as he teamed with Vince and (WW)ECW Champion Big Show v. DX in Unforgiven '06. He last wrestled less than 7 years ago, and in that interim time, I've got to believe that in the last few months he must've been busting his ass to get rid of the ring rust, so I'd say it's all but certain that Shane will be involved in SOME kind of high-impact bump spot at WM 32, whether on the giving or receiving end of it.

I don't see them doing the bait-and-switch. Why advertise the match in the first place? Why would you try and get people excited about the idea of a Shane match and then pull him from it? Why would you have Vince demand he compete only for him then not have to and still get his way? Why have the face back out of the match?

Shane is wrestling. In the mind of many, the McMahons are stars. And when you hear Shane talk, it's easy to remind yourself that he's an amazing performer. He's also insane and has something to prove. Not only will Shane wrestle The Undertaker, but McMahon ego is too big for it to be anything less than a memorable classic.

What isn't certain is how they go about building the match. Does The Undertaker heel it up? He's been kicking people in the nuts since Battleground. It could be a case of "I like you, Shane, but it's WrestleMania..." or "I've always hated you, you little prick -- now I get to make oprhans of your children."

CSL brings up a good point about the cell and the WWE probably not wanting guys to go off it anymore. But I do think that if anyone does it it will be Shane.

If John Cena returns in time for WrestleMania, which I don't think is advisable but whatever, I think he might team with The New Day against The League of Nations. The New Day are basically faces anyway and might give Cena something fun to do and show off that "cool guy" side. It takes a lot of pressure off Cena to perform and addresses his history with Del Rio.
