Pat Hentgen retired today.

I know to you non Blue Jays fans, this isn't a big deal, and yeah, he doesn't have it like he used to, but damn, sad news. I was really hoping he'd find his grooove again. He was very dominant, the best for a short period of time in the majors.

Yeah, I liked Hentgen as he seemed like a really good guy. He worked with Halladay a lot when Halladay was struggling with the Jays early on. Very good pitcher in the mid-late 90's.

131 career wins is quite a feat to be proud of. Shame he's calling it quits though. Seemed like a good guy

Yeah, he was one of my favorite players when I still followed baseball. Too bad to see him go out the way he went out. Deserved better.

If anything, atleast he realized he was hurting the team, and the only way to help them was to leave.

I was sad to hear about Hentgen retiring, he'd certainly seen rough times over recent years but you don't win a Cy Young without an incredible amount of talent. Just sad to see him go on a downer really

It's sad that he's gone, but as a blue jay fan, Thank God he retired. I couldn't take another horrible performance
