Rate the Game: Week 108
Good morning, good people of TPWW. I've got a lot on my mind this morning, unfortunately. The possibility of another dreary weather-filled day is one. Turning another year older tomorrow is another. Can't share the whole lot because that would just drag this all down. And we don't want that here do we? So join me for a little pre-birthday get-together, will you, and let's do some gaming talk! First and foremost, we need to see how Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 fared amongst us. I had to include a vote that wasn't in the poll but the score was given in the thread so the outcome should be on the up-and-up. Let's go to the leaderboard and have Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 take its rightful place....




Fuck me in the ass, it's another game that ends up with a 4.0 average. It may be creating even more of a crowded mess in that section of the leaderboard but Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 can take solace in knowing that it does significantly better than its predecessors among the TPWW Universe, being the highest ranked Mortal Kombat game...so far....

And with that ominous statement we now have to approach the bowl for its weekly offering to this shindig. What does it have in store for Week 108?

Well it's not another Mortal Kombat entry but it's most certainly a bloodfest on another level. This week we take a look at the zombie-killing survival adventure, Dead Island! We've had some zombie games try their hand here but does Dead Island surpass them or do they take a backseat to the competition? How about it, TPWW Universe? Let's show this game what it means to be rated by the best and the brightest and give it what you think it deserves. Until next week!

Dozens of hours of mindless fun, and I get that the story plot was probably mostly just window dressing to give the combat a reason, but it still feels slightly underwhelming.

This is another case where my ribbing is for naught because I haven't played it either. My friend bought it and played it while we were living together and he gave the me the report on how it was. It didn't sound particularly appealing as I'm not fond of crafting and we already were having a blast with Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 for all of our zombie killing needs.

Oof, a lot of non-players on this one. I guess zombie-killing games aren't that common amongst us as Left 4 Dead and Dead Rising had a similar fate. Or maybe you're all into that Call of Duty zombie thing.

3. It was fun but nothing special outside of zombie rpg. Kinda buggy and a bit jank as well. Feel like they coulda worked a lot with the sequel (not riptide, but dead island 2) but that game is still stuck in development hell a decade later.
