I think when Vince had to go away, it was because it is a public company. I think Vince said fuck that, and his plan is sell it to whoever will take it private and let him have complete control to run it how be wants, at least for a predetermined amount of time. I feel like the WWE is in a position where it is at its peak and there is nothing else but down from here.

The WWE will never again be valued at BILLIONS, their extraordinary TV deals are about to end, shares are at record highs and there are next to no new stars. Most of the old stars cannot do it anymore.

Whoever buys this thing is buying high and will be perpetually losing afterwards.

The only real value would be the extensive video library, most of which has already been capitalized on via DVD's and The Network. Outside of that, it is just a wrestling company with some solid contacts/connections/contracts. All of which can be very easily be lost if no new TV providers are found and certain people within the company leave who have the inside tracks and connections in order to make these deals.

Not to mention, many times depending on the conditions of sale and the types of stock purchased, a lot of the basic shareholders of basic stock lose out on making top dollar in deals where a company goes from public to private depending on the type of stock they own.

This is going to be a shitshow. Vince is going to profit huge on his more specialized controlling stock while the basic stockholder is going to get some basic buyout number negotiated in the sale that is WAY below the evaluation its currently at.

I dont think a big company would want to drop $6.5-$7.5 billion just for WWE, but if you are going to pay them a billion dollars each for Raw, Smackdown, and the WWE Network for 5 years, it would be smarter to just buy them and own it all forever. The rights fees are so high, that it is a logical alternative.

Right when Peacock gave WWE a billion for the network for 5 years, it felt like it was the groundwork to buy WWE outright.

The real interesting thing will be how many bidders they have.
