Left Spanglish to see Finding Neverland

I sat down to what I thought was going to be a good comedy in Spanglish, but I was really disapointed in the outcome half way through. So I left to the theatre Finding Neverland which was just starting... and it was worth it.

Finding Neverland has alot of Micheal Jackson innuendos. At some points in the movie people question Barrie(Depp) at his relationship with spending all this time to play with children... But it's not for the reason's Micheal would.

It's a great movie expecially if you enjoy writing like I do.

8/10

Spanglish is not a comedy. It's not really being promoted as one either. More of a dramedy.

I wanna see Neverland badly.

Yeah, Spanglish is supposed to be a serious movie with its moments, I think. I saw the title, and saw Adam Sandler in the cast list and was all "Oh crap!". I'm not usually a fan of his movies, although when I manage to get through one, I usually have decent things to say about it. I thought Spanglish was intended to be like a BASEketball-style attempt at humour at first with some kind of new hybrid language.

I'm glad to hear that Sandler's performance is much like his one in Punch-Drunk Love in Spanglish.

Finding Neverland is supposed to be a good watch, too. I don't think the movie was supposed to make us think of Jackson, as I'm sure it was just put in because it was what the writer was like in reality.

Spanglish was wonderful

Finding Neverland was even better.

I was going to post this in Anybody Thrilla's thread but thought it was more appropriate here since it discusses both Spanglish, Finding Neverland and Meet the Fockers:

Spanglish was mediocore at best, however Punch Drunk Love was pretty cool. I would have stayed around in Spanglish if Finding Neverland wasn't starting in the next theatre. If I wanted to see a movie I thought was somewhat ok, I would just rent it.

I realized Spanglish was meant to be more of a dramatic comedy, and I expected that. I just couldn't laugh at some of the parts that were presented to be funny. Parts that some others in the theatre were laughing at ridiculously like when Adam Sandler cupped what's her names breast, or when they had sex in a "humourus" fasion that wasn't humorus. I enjoyed some aspects of the film but it didn't draw me... I might rent it to see the last hour of it.

I am glad I switched to see Finding Neverland, this movie was great, with a strong story. Whenever comedy was introduced in this film everyone laughed... and the ending touched alot of people it sent chills down my spine as well. And I don't get emotional in movies.

Tonight I saw Meet the Fockers, it was allright. Didn't expect much from is since the critics didn't like this film all that much. But I admit it was funny, and had a decent story to it. I won't give too much away since alot of you haven't seen it. It wasn't as funny or entertaining as the first one, but that is hard to match.

Meet the Parents: 9/10
Meet the Fockers: 7.1/10
