What is the deal with ps2 "disc read error"
I dunno, my fucking Madden game would always studder and the disc kept making this annoying sound and it would take like two minutes to load one screen, so if I hit the ps2 a little then it would stop. it reached a climax today when I hit it and then it froze, I took the disc out and when I put it back in the browser gave me the error message. my other ps2 games got the message also but like ps1 games weren't affected.
so wasn't there a warranty or something that Sony would refund yr ps2 if it got the disc read error, or I dunno. |

RIP Assman's PS2 - Dec 2004.
It's dead. Send it off to Sony, they apparently send you a brand new one and/or your's back, all fixed. |

Sony'll fix it for you for free.
Just call 1-800-345-7669. Worked for me. http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/f...ony_repair.txt |
