2005 NBA Draft
Who's going to be in the top couple of picks?
Could Andrew Bogut go no 1? Any golden HS players coming through this year? It's hard to keep up with this shit from the otehr side of the world. "I love players who love to win. And not just during the 90 minutes on the pitch. Players have to love to win every day, in every training session, in every moment of their life." -Jose Mourinho |

looks like college kids are actually going to be high draft class this year. Chris Paul (Wake), McCants (UNC), Stoudamire, Frye etc. (U of AZ) Bogut etc. all look like real good picks this year.

I would assume Bogut is going, he will be the #1 pick if he does.
There isn't that many high schoolers coming out that I've heard of, theres a few European guys though. go to www.NBADraft.net for some info |

I think he'd be smarter to stay, he is good but needs to develop his game more still and he would be better off under Coach K then an NBA coach for now.

Redick has no chance in the NBA, why not stay at Duke

I wish Stoudamire and Diago go to great teams.

Stoudamire has one of the top picks? Lots of people have him projected as a late 1st rounder.
Williams from UNC will be a high pick because of his "potential" - the NBA is really getting pretty bad now. He isnt even the best player on UNC but he is the best athlete so he is projected to go one or two. |

I was thinking about like on the lines of what Stima is talking about earlier this week, and like how the NBA would fare with a real minor league, and honestly I don't think it would work very well. The way basketball works, especially right now, its completely individual and players would just try to show off to get called up.
What I think would work, and would actually be a really good idea, is if the NBA worked out something like they have in world soccer, where you can borrow a player to other teams. So like, if the Timberwolves draft Ebi two years ago, instead of spending two years sitting on the pine and working the "IL", he could be borrowed to a European team and develop there for a year or two, but then have to come back to the NBA. I think the NBA would be very smart to get more involved internationally, like soccer has done. Just a thought. |

All that matters to me is who the Hawks (presumedly Bogut unless they get fucked in the lottery) and the Warriors get (hopefully a center that can play offense so Foyle can go back to being a solid back-up).

If the Warriors got Bogut they'll be really good. Would work well with Murphy, Dun, J.Rich and B.Davis.

Are the Warriors that low in the standings? I didn't think they were that down in the cellar

They are 27-45.
There's like...5 teams worse off than they are I think? 4 or 5 |

Oh ok, I don't think they have a good chance at getting the first pick then.
