The Other Wrestlemania Predictions Thread
Here it is! The greatest show under the earth! It's what the entire last year of wrestling was summing up to.... and I'm sure there are some people out there who think that's a good thing!

We've done this a few times now, so I think everyone knows the rules, but for the new guys and some of the old guys who are just now coming back, I give you: THE RULES.

1: Anyone can play. I base the championship off of a fighting champion basis. Each PPV you defend your title with honor.

2: THe points system for regular matches consists as follows: 10 points for a correct winner, and 5 points for the method of victory. And as always, I will only count the following responses for that extra 5 points. "CLEAN" or "PIN", "CHEATING", "INTERFERANCE", or "DQ". If you give me a more detailed response I will not give extra credit, and if I get the gist of what you're saying I'll accept it.(IE- "Taker wins via Tombstone" means that he'll have a clean victory) If you put nothing, I will default your response to a clean pinfall.

3: If there are any gimmicky matches, the points system will be detailed when I mention the match.

Thank you, "THE RULES". Now for the lineup.

I'm putting these in order of how I think the WWE will show them, so bear with me.


Eddie G vs. Rey Mysterio in a "I'm sure your match will be very high quality, but to us it's still just another opener" match.


Show vs. Bono in a "Wouldn't it be funny if these guys made a tag team and called themselves 'Big Bono'?" match.


Trish vs. The dipshit red whore who needs to die in a "If they hype this match any more, I'll piss till I dry up!" match.


Kane, Christian, Benoit, Edge, Jericho, and Benjamin in a "If there's a way you can book this match to be completely unentertaining, eventually pointless, and make all of the competitors come out looking worse than when they went in, the WWE can do it!" match


Orton vs. Capn Can'tsell in a "Who would have thought that passing the torch could actually be harder than passing a kidney stone?" match.


HBK vs. Angle in a "If Bret Hart is EVER going to make an appearance on WWE programing, this would have been the perfect time to do it. But ask the WWE to properly hype any of the right matches up? PSH!" match.


Cena vs. Fatshaw in a "Ok, you've held the title the longest. We get it already. Now go away." match.


HHH vs. Batista in a "If I hear another person make an empty promise that 'If HHH retains I swear I'm never gonna watch WWE again!' I will kill them....ok probably not, but at least I'm willing to admit it." match

I say Rey will win via cheap pinfall, aka rollup. Eddie will probably turn heel just after the match.


Show. Cmon, I mean, making a WWE star look bad to a a fattey out from nowhere? Cmooooon. Show by pinfall or whatever way you win this match.

Show vs Bono - No contest, ring collapses. J/K, Show, clean win.

Trish vs Christy - Trish via DQ when Lita interferes.

Kane vs Christian vs Benoit vs Edge vs Jerichovs vs Benjamin - Kane, clean win.

Orton vs Taker - Taker wins clean.

HBK vs Angle - Angle wins via interference from The Hitman.

Cena vs JBL - Cena wins cleanly, however there will be interference by the cabinet, but the ref will be knocked out, and the interference will have no bearing on the finish.

HHH vs Batista - Batista, clean win all day long.

I suck at guessing Smackdown matches, I'll just hope I get the Raw ones right.


Rey's never gotten a chance by anyone really. He's had a few mini pushes, but never anything huge. I'd say let him get this win clean over Eddie and maybe move into a feud with JBL.


I have a feeling this will be a shoot match (can you really book a sumo match?) The match will consist of five minutes of entrance followed by 30 seconds of Show getting his fat ass rolled out of the ring. Clean victory.


This is the women's version of HHH vs. Steiner. Can they possibly avoid WRESTLING any more than they have already? "Let's hype up this wrestling match with an ARM WRESTLING MATCH!" The genius who came up with that one is the same smart guy who decided we needed 3 weeks of pose-offs leading to the worst match of all time. You want a prediction? Here's my prediction: The only way this match could get worse is if the red whore fought Jackie Gayda....but then again, there'd be the slight possibility that one of them would get critically injured in the match, and that's enough hype to make me skip a piss break. Trish via cheating.


I'm gonna go with a face on this one. Jericho. Clean victory (Yes, I know Kane's in the match too, but we're talking about a possible WM22 main event here. If they're gonna go through on their hype, they'd better pick a man who they know will get the crowd going, have a great match with almost anyone, and will actually stay healthy until March.)


I'm still going with Orton on this one. I don't care if I get this one wrong. Is asking the old fart to sell for once before he retires too much to ask? There may be some cheating involved.


Angle via interference. He's bringing up HBK's past every week. It won't be Bret, but it probably will be somebody else.


*Cena vs Bradshaw*
Bradshaw will hopefully come up with something more entertaining than "I've outsmarted you by making you think that I've gone home when I've really been here the whole time!" Damn...Angle's little ways of cheating to keep the title were way better. STill since it's not a gimmick match, Bradshaw will win via cheating somehow.


*Batista vs HHH*

Batista will destroy HHH, but they'll give us a zinger. With the hype this match is getting, it'll need a zinger. HHH with the win via interference (or some other zinger.)

This is definitely when Eddie makes his turn. I can't see Eddie jobbing to Rey again. Then again, Rey has never won at Mania. I'm still going with Eddie, though


Can't really say. I hope it's not scripted and they actually sumo. Show with the "upset"


One of the few times I want Trish to win. Who is the WWE trying to fool? Someone being trained by Lita to defeat the greatest Women's champ of all-time?


In an ideal world, Captain Charisma comes out of it with the W, maybe with Tomko's help. I'll be damned if Edge wins it. I would mark out though, if Matt Hardy pulls Edge down just as he is reaching for the prize. I like Benjamin winning this one, though.


Taker wins, goes to Raw, continues to feud with Orton, Taker continues to defeat Orton until months later Orton finally gets the W on Taker.


I can't see HBK jobbing here. Then again, if it really is Angle's last match, Angle may win. Not by submission, though. Toughest call of them all.


Why the hell is everyone thinking that John Cena is going to win? JBL needs a credible win and who better to defeat than SmackDown's most over superstar and what better stage than at WM21? JBL-WWE Title = John Cena + WWE Title =


Batista wins, of course. The push would be pointless if he doesn't.

Ok, I've finally got the standings finished. Sorry about the lateness. Here's how it went down.

Starting with the lowest (Don't feel bad guys...I'm down at the bottom this time too!)

Supermark101 w/ 30 points
rabidwolverine w/ 40 points
ChuckJones w/ 45 points
Me, TS6 with 50 points
A three way tie between Saimou, #1 wwf fan, and Cool King w/ 55 points
The Fugitive with 60 points
Loose Cannon with 65 points
KoOS and Former champion Astley316 with 70 points
Another 3 way tie between Marcyo, Seph, Fenix122 with 75 points
dalegendkilla and 2 time champion Corndad with an amazing 90 points each
SammyG with an incredible 100 points...


but the championship goes to MrRobertGoulet with a shocking and awesome 115 points. I think the only thing he missed was saying Trish was going to win via cheating.

A champion we can all look up to.....at least until next month.
