Wrestlers greatest matches. #1 Bret Hart

In a similar style to RTW, vote on what you think was Bret's best match, i'll do this every couple of days and basically copy the order from RTW so you know what's coming.

I vote for the Iron Man Match against HBK

Damn, that's tough to vote on. I like his matches for different reasons.

On a pure wrestling basis I really liked Bret/Owen and Bret/Davey.

WM13 incorporated some of the best storytelling of all time if not the best. His match with Austin was greatness. His cage match was great as well, but I dont want to vote on matches that involve gimmicks.

I dont know, Bret really loves his match with the Bulldog at SummerSlam and I do myself so that could be my pick.

But I'll go with Owen at WMX, as that is the match I have most recently been into.

Yeah good call on that, Bret Hart wouldn't be wrestling for the IC title in 1993.

1993 he lost to Lawler by DQ if I remember correctly.

It's a toss-up between vs. Owen Hart at WrestleMania X and vs. Mr Perfect at Summerslam '91.

I know the events at which those matches took place, so they must have something special going for them. Both were technically great, and both had emotion pouring through them. If I had to pick one though, I'd pick his match against Owen, simply because Owen actually went over, and his win was amplified as Bret Hart won the WWE Championship that same very night.

BTW, we should get some guys to upload some of these matches or something. Maybe just the winning match, then have a "Best of the Month" thing going after four guys have been done.

vs. Steve Austin, don't remember date. House show. Made his greatest match ever because I was there watching it, and I am awesome. Go me!

The Highlander does not have that much rep yet (10+)
Bret vs Owen, WM10, easily.

Iron man match. Bret v Austin at WMXIII and Bret v Owen at WMX are right there with it though.

I've got reservations about this RTW-spinoff, but nevertheless, I vote for Bret vs Austin, WM13.

I just watched Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart and Bret Hart vs. The British Bulldog again, and I must say my favourite is by far the former. Hart vs. The Bulldog was good, and certainly worth the watch, but it was not great in the same sense Bret vs. Owen was.

It may be just me, but Bret vs. Owen told a story within its bell periods, and I found the match just that much better paced, and it really took off well. Bret Hart vs. The British Bulldog was good, but it seemed to be a fairly robotic match, with neither guy really going far and beyond to tell a story in the match.

Both are good picks, and I cannot fault either one, though.
