Draft probably taking place May 30th... No hype?
Yep, so the draft looks like it will be coming up soon... Since Vince's announcement, there has been very little reference to the draft aside from Christian's rap and Bischoff's comment to Christy...

A 6-person draft where each brand gets 6 superstars from the opposite brand could be the right way to do it... As long as there aren't any stupid trades...

From RAW:

Christian - deserves a main event push, Christian-Cena=$

Triple H - RAW might do a little better without him for a while with all the guys like Benoit, Jericho, HBK that aren't used...

Randy Orton - Orton belongs on SmackDown!, in my opinion... Guys like Christian and Orton that get ignored on RAW could build something big on SD! much like Cena has...

Tajiri - Belongs on the cruiserweight division... Can't wait for Psicosis, Kazarian and Crazy to debut... And the potential signings of Juventud, Rios... The Eugene-Regal team would be generally the same thing...

Gene Snitsky - Not a bad idea... Snitsky or Heidenreich on their own is dreadful but the two as a team could be entertaining and a good tag-team title candidate, in my opinion...

Sylvain Grenier - Let them do La Resistance on SD! with two people that can speak french and spare Conway's career...

From SD!:

Charlie Haas - Will have a much better career on RAW if he can build a singles career, start tagging with Shelton for a while or maybe even a team with Conway since both are pretty good technical wrestlers...

Luther Reigns - Bring this guy to RAW and let him build something with Tomko... I think the two could be an unstoppable tag-team and they both work a similar style... I like both of them...

JBL - Let him start something fresh on RAW... He's battled just about everyone on the show and I think he was a really entertaining champion... Shame it had to end at the hands of Cena...

Kurt Angle - With lots of heels going to SD! like Orton, HHH and Christian, Angle would be underutilized... RAW needs a strong top heel and with the addition of Angle and JBL, it will give guys like Benoit, Jericho, Shelton, HBK and Batista more contenders...

Joy, Michelle or Lauren - Not a bad idea to get the best diva they have that can wrestle to come to RAW... Dawn Marie & Torrie could stay on SD! though, I think...

Al Snow - SD! needs to give away as little real talent they can if they want to maintain a U.S. title division because they need to get that title off Jordan soon and on somebody like Carlito or Booker T...

On RAW, HBK, Batista, Benoit, Kane and Shelton Benjamin could play the main event face role for the next year... Any one of them can get over as a champion at any time... The only one that's questionable is Kane; however, judging by what they do with the Kane-Edge main event next week, he could become credible again...

As for the heels, Kurt Angle, JBL, Jericho, Edge and Muhammad Hassan could take over the main feuds for the next year... Hassan is certainly not a main eventer yet, by any means, but he is very over and can get a lot of heat involved in some interesting feuds much like he did with HBK/Hogan and much like he's doing right now with Shelton/Jericho... As for Jericho, I see a heel turn coming soon and I think the guy could play a slick heel role if he's pushed right... Shelton-Jericho for main event...

On SmackDown!, things will change drastically... For the faces main eventing, UnderTaker, Big Show, John Cena, Booker T and Rey Mysterio can occupy this role for the year... All of them can get over, however something new and exciting will need to be done with Big Show and Booker T... As for UnderTaker, that can will get over at any time as soon as the crowd hears the entrance music... He's still got "it", in my opinion...

As for the heels, Triple H, Randy Orton, Eddie Guerrero, Christian and Carlito could create some interesting opponents for guys like Booker and Show... New and fresh opponents and angles are preventing either man from getting over again as viable title contenders...

The roster trades could also revamp the tag division pretty well... On RAW, lots of new teams could be pushed:

Hurricane/Rosey
Eugene/Regal
Conway/Haas or Shelton/Haas
Luther/Tomko or something with Masters as well
Heart Throbs
Maven/Simon Dean
Hassan/Daivari

An interesting tag division could get tag wrestling back into the scene because women's wrestling is clearly done in WWE and its era is past us... Trish having the occasional match with Victoria is fine, I suppose, but it's all a waste of time now anyways since all the women wrestlers have been released...

I also believe the draft will allow Flair to do something new... Perhaps a new Horsemen or something... A Horsemen with Batista, Benoit and Shelton might not be original, but it would be awesome...

On SmackDown!, the tag division is also revamped, which is an added bonus... New teams can be pushed:

Dudley Boyz
Heidenreich/Snitsky
Bashams
MNM
La Resistance
Morgan/Jindrak
or any cruiserweight team (Nunzio/Funaki, S2H/Moore, Akio/Tajiri, etc.)

Also, this creates great new possibilities for the cruiserweight division... They could build it around so many new exciting stars:

Rey Mysterio (although he can move on to new, better things)
Chavo Guerrero
Billy Kidman
Akio
Paul London
Psicosis
Frankie Kazarian
Super Crazy
Tajiri
Nunzio
Funaki
Scotty 2 Hotty
Spike Dudley
Shannon Moore
or possibly even... Juventud Guerrera, Essa Rios...

With such an overload of exciting cruiserweight talent, it might make it easier to release some of the less talented, less exciting guys such as Scotty 2 Hotty, Spike Dudley or Shannon Moore...

Yes, I realize I did a really similar post a few weeks ago, but didn't feel like bumping up an old post... I thought there might be some new ideas for the draft since it's coming up in about 2 weeks and will set the foundation for feuds on each brand for the next year or so...

Though I've gotta say, anyone who says "I think Christian should be traded to Smackdown and feud with Cena" is an idiot, because HELLO?

(It's not that it's a bad idea. It's just that it's in the process. That's like saying "I think Batista should be the WHT Champ--Well, minus the severe head trauma...)

Since when the hell can they wrestle? Jackie can wrestle better than any of them.
If it was up to me, I'd squash the women's division altogether and perhaps bring back Hardcore wrestling to get guys like Val Venis, Steven Richards and Viscera in a meaningless title scene... It's better than having Trish-Christy or Trish-Victoria every week...
